Yes, you can contract herpes for a carrier who has no visible symptoms, and once you get it, you've got it for life. Always use protection. What does herpes look like when they start?

Herpes doees not start with muscle soreness! It starts when the lymphnods in your pelvic area swell, you itch like crazy down stairs, you have diaper rash symptoms and a whitesh discharge. This could occur for several days before the actual sores break through the skin. THEY DO NOT CRUST OVER AND FALL OFF! That's genital warts! LOL! this procss can take up to a month to fully get over. It all depends on the severness of the situation. Remeber if you experience these things and are not sure talk to your doctor. Also, DO NOT SOAK IN A BATH, OR SHAVE YOUR REGIONAL AREAS! These things only make the infected area worse, and cause the lesions and sores to spread. Using a cool rag to sooth the area is what is rcommended.

What temperature will kill herpes virus?

No temperature. Herpes is an incurable disease. Stays with you for life.

Actually, that is not the correct answer on a couple of levels. First, herpes is not a disease, it is a virus. And fortunately, all viruses can be killed, or we would potentially die every time we ate cooked meat, as heating food kills viruses and bacterias.

Hippocrates once said that if he could harness the power of the fever, he could cure all forms of disease. Ever been sick and run a temperature? That is your body fighting off the viral attack, using heat to kill the virus.

It's the rise in body temperature that halts viral replication by inhibiting the DNA strand telomeres from capturing the free amino acids needed to replicate.

Now, I do not know what temperature exactly but herpes is a virus and thus is susceptable to heat.

AnswerEpsom Salts (ask your pharmacist for it) is soothing (not like regular salt.) Get a small bowl, boil some water, put in 1/4 cup of Epsom Salts, and just enough boiling water so the crystals melt, then add tepid water (body temperature) and soak a clean face cloth in it, and take a little of the water out of it, but not all and hold it on the blister. Do this 4 - 5 times a day. It helps to heal, disinfects and heals wounds quickly. I would also take the advice of the above poster and get a product from your pharmacist to put on your fever blister when you are out for the day or sleeping.
