As of the start of the 2012 season, Alabama and Notre Dame have met six times, all between 1973-1987. In those games, Alabama has won once and Notre Dame has won five times. Notre Dame has outscored Alabama 112-86 in all meetings.

Through the 2008 season, that was November 29, 2003 when Virginia defeated Virginia Tech, 35-21, in Charlottesville.

While at Florida Spurrier had 10 wins and 3 losses; combined points for totaling 427 to 211 points against. The years were 1990 to 2001.

While at South Carolina Spurrier had 0 wins and 4 losses; combined points totaling 68 to 163 points against. The years were 2005 to Dec. 31, 2010.

Spurrier has not beaten Auburn since Dec. 2, 2000 (SEC Champ 28 to 6 win) while at Florida.

Spurrier has never beaten Cam Newton.

1989-1990

AU had Dameyune Craig, Cam Newton, Kodi Burns, Reggie Slack, Pat Washington, Meiko Collier, Allen Tillman, and Jason Campbell all played quarter back ...and prior to the 2012 season.

Jason Campbell was QB for the un defeated 2004 team, and was a first round draft choice.

Cam Newton was QB for the 2010 National championship team, won the Heisman and was the first pick in the NFL draft.

Reggie Slack went on to play QB in Canadian football and was a Star in that league.

I do not believe the other fellers layed much in the pros, although

Dameyune Craig, now a very good coach, did lay a few yrs in the NFL

During the very forgettable 2012 season different kids started games at QB...who happened to be black.
