Give commonly use tools and equipment in hardware servicing?

As a former computer tech, I can say that screwdrivers are the most used tool. You can buy a handy kit that has the most common tools at electronics and computer repair shops for 10 to 15 dollars. It will have screwdrivers and nut drivers along with an IC puller, assorted tweezers and other "grabbing" tools. You should also have a grounding strap that attaches to your wrist.

Is refilling a cartridge cheaper then buying a new one?

When an ink cartridge is refilled, a company uses bulk ink with a recycled cartridge. This cuts down on the costs of packaging, manufacturing, and transport. These savings are passed on to the consumer.

What are 3 types of printers?

The three main types of printers are ink jet, laser, and dot matrix. Ink jet printers spray ink onto the paper using nozzles. Laser printers bond carbon-polymer to paper using heat. Dot matrix printers use a print head that strikes an ink covered ribbon and then the paper to create an image.

Discount Printer Ink Cartridges HP?

No discount printer ink should not harm the printer but it may effect the quality of the pages depending on what you typically print off. If you are only printing off term papers or things that does not require alot of detail than discount ink should be fine.

What are the disadvantages and advantages about lasers?

(Being a Biomedical Student I can Focus on Clinical aspects.)
1. seals blood vessels while cutting any tissue 2. no need to distend with high pressure fluids to stop bleeding - less swelling 3. no need for repetitive diathermy to burn tissues to stop bleeding 4. no need for drainage tubes to drain blood post-operatively (one cause of pain) 1. no need to keep changing instuments through the skin wounds 2. less damage to the portal tissues 3. less likelihood of breaking instruments 4. shorter operating & anaesthetic times as ergonomically more efficient 1. therefore less scuffing to adjacent joint surfaces 2. less damage to surrounding tissues which may be stretched to admit actions of conventional instruments eg. basket forceps 3. better access as fits into very small spaces with gentle curve 1. photo stimulation - some early studies have recognised early ingrowth of healing tissues 1. very easy to manipulate as flexible 2. sensitive to the surgeon - better feel and so may be more delicate 3. works very well in an aqueous medium ie. in a joint with arthroscopy 1. bone sculpting, cartilage contouring now possible 2. therefore training and accreditation of the surgeon most important - in Australia all surgeons who use this should have laser credentialling. 1. once a hospital has a laser the ongoing costs are less than conventional equipment ie. less dispoable "single use" expensive equipment 2. reusable hand pieces (~cost of 1 blade/case) - not adding a lot more expense!

Especially for the patient:1. "less subjective pain; less apparent bleeding and swelling" 1. The surgeon does not need to pump in fluid under pressure to stop the bleeding - this normally causes marked swelling and distention of tissues which is a cause of pain after the traditional arthroscopic surgical operations. 2. tourniquets are not needed and they cause pain because of the period of ischaemia and the pressure beneath 3. no drainage tubes which cause pain with movements 2. reduces surgical time 1. so less problems from the anaesthetic ie. nausea and drowsiness 2. patient gets over the operation more quickly 3. less compliocations from the anaesthetic- important if previous medical problems 3. no charring therefore less irritation and inflammation
4. Safety considerations 1. surface ablation 0.4mm per pulse 2. surrounding tissue effect <1mm. and this seals the blood vessels 3. if beam doesnt come into contact with tissue within 4 mm. a harmless bubble forms as completely absorbed by the fluid - little likely damage to other tissues besides the one being targeted 5. Precise surgery 1. minimal damage/spread other tissues 2. allows better sparing of adjacent tissues - meniscus, labrum 3. safe - danger zone only 3-4mm in water 4. very precise cutter, ablator, coagulator # Lasers are of high price and limited wavelength range. # Relatively few surgeons are trained in laser use. # Laser equipment is expensive and bulky compared with the usual surgical tools, such as scalpels. # Strict safety precautions must be observed in the operating room. (For example, the surgical team and the patient must use eye protection.) Although many laser surgeries can be performed in a doctor's office rather than in a hospital, the person guiding the laser must be at least as thoroughly trained and highly skilled as someone performing the same procedure in a hospital setting. The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc. urges that:

* All operative areas be equipped with oxygen and other drugs and equipment required for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

* Non-physicians performing laser procedures be properly trained, licensed, and insured

* A qualified and experienced supervising physician be able to respond to and manage unanticipated events or other emergencies within five minutes of the time they occur

* Emergency transportation to a hospital or other acute-care facility be available whenever laser surgery is performed in a non-hospital setting.

Imprecisely aimed lasers can burn or destroy healthy tissue.

#If laser hair elimination method is not performed properly, it may cause many skin diseases such as discoloration of skin or burning of the skin.

What makes ink colored?

Let me preface this briefly with a little modern printing history.

In the early days of color printing, with the devolpment of the three color process (cyan, magenta, and yellow) there were two ways to print black. Printers could pass board (paper) through the press in a first pass and print all black areas;typically this was for jobs with large black areas. Or, board would print in one pass, and a mixture of the three colors would produce a shade of black.

Essentially, cyan, magenta, and yellow (CMYK) will make black.

Because CMYK does not produce a perfect black, four color presses were developed that included black ink application.

Is a printer input?

No, it is classed as an output device - same as the computer's monitor. Both of which show the result of your input from the keyboard, etc.

What is the purpose of a co2 laser cutter?

A CO2 laser cutter is a versatile tool used for various purposes, primarily in industrial and manufacturing settings, but also in hobbyist and artistic applications. Its main purpose is to precisely cut or engrave materials using a high-powered laser beam generated from carbon dioxide gas. Here are some of its key purposes:

Material Cutting: CO2 laser cutters can cut through a wide range of materials, including wood, acrylic, plastic, fabric, leather, paper, and even metals (although metals typically require higher-powered lasers). This makes them valuable in industries such as signage, furniture making, and metal fabrication.

Engraving: These machines are also used for engraving intricate designs, text, or patterns onto various materials. This is commonly seen in personalized gifts, jewelry, and the customization of products.

Precision and Detail: CO2 laser cutters are known for their precision and ability to create intricate, detailed cuts and engravings that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional tools.

Speed and Efficiency: They are faster and more efficient than many traditional cutting methods, making them suitable for mass production or prototyping.

Non-Contact Cutting: Unlike some other cutting methods, CO2 laser cutting is a non-contact process. This means there is no physical force applied to the material, reducing the risk of damage or contamination.

Clean Cuts: The laser beam produces clean, smooth cuts with minimal heat-affected zones, resulting in less post-processing work.

Versatility: CO2 laser cutters can be used with various software and can cut or engrave complex designs, making them adaptable to a wide range of applications.

In summary, the primary purpose of a CO2 laser cutter is to offer precise, efficient, and versatile material cutting and engraving capabilities across various industries and creative endeavors.

How do you dispose of totally broken electrical products?

Most communities now have a few days a year set aside for recycling your electronic products as many contain items that may be considered hazardous to the environment. The recyclers will try to reclaim the gold from some of the circuit boards and properly remove the hazardous contaminants. Most communities set aside a few days every year for the proper disposal of used electronics items, due to the possible contaminants they may contain. If they're recycled, the recyclers would then try to reclaim any gold that's used as well as properly remove the contaminants.

How does an ink jet printer work?

there is a print head has nozzles to draw ink from cartridge and spray on the paper cartridge is placed on the print head holes are placed exactly on the nozzles.

There are various technologies involved, depending on the make.

The ink is supplied at the nozzle by internal pressure from within the cartridge, or by gravity.

The ink is fired onto the paper by an electrical pulse. This impetus is provided either by rapidly heating the ink drop, or by piezo crystal resonator.

As the print head moves back and forth across the paper, the picture is printed line by line.

Can you use transparent paper in an ink jet printer?

No, traditional transparency paper is simple clear plastic. Laser printers use heat to burn toner onto paper to print. Traditional transparency paper will melt and stick to the rollers if used. There are transparency sheet specifically made to support laser printers and you should go to your local office supply store to find some. If the box doesn't specifically say compatible with laser printers then it isn't.

Don't forget ink jets use liquid, which can't print on the smooth transparency surface.

-----

Well it's a good question. You need to remember that transparancy paper "moves" differently then paper and not all printers can work with them, as well as the stock (thickness of it). Remember, how it feeds the paper and settings you use could smudge the ink very easily if not supported.

Just be certain that the printer supports transparancies prior to using and as mentioned above, place it in the paper tray and usually you will have an option to select "transparancy" if the printer supports it and the correct drivers are installed on the PC
