Yui Hirasawa or Ritsu Tainaka from the japanese anime "k-on", its super simple. All you need is to straighten your hair and get a navy blue school girl outfit. look it up, its quite interesting.

You can wear anything you'd like. If you can't buy a Cosplay costume make your own costume with whatever you have and try to make it look similar to a Anime TV show you like.

its easy just work out what you want to do at the party and where it is like any other party, get everyone you know who wants to come and invite them, the best thing to do is open up an invite sender on facebook then you know exactly whos coming, that's what i did and ur all set

Totally! I understand your dilemma because that's how I was when I started cosplaying. But just because your not exactly a certain race or of lighter or even darker skin colour does not mean you are unable to cosplay.

You act responsible for as long as possible. You do your homework ASAP, you keep your room and the house clean and do chores. You could even make dinner one night. Prove her that your responsible to handle this. Get her a gift because you love her. Then, when the moments right, you ask. Good luck, young one.

No there isn't one. But you could just find a regular coffee shop and start meeting there in cosplay with your friends. In time, it might become a cosplay cafe :)

Saturday 4th is Free Comic Book day, so you may well be able to pick up some good manga titles.

There are a couple of costume shops, but they seem more aimed at western-style fancy dress and *cough* bedroom cosplay, so may need to look for these online.

This is how I dye all of my fabrics for cosplay. If it's not already white, get a decent sized plastic tub (can be found at any dollar store) and bleach it until it is white or mostly white. (Note: Only use enough bleach to get the fabric completely submerged). When it's done bleaching, wash it with normal fabric cleaner as you would for any normal load of clothes. While the bleach get cleaned off, dispose of the bleach and wash the tub. When it's cleaned, fill with water (about double the level the bleach was at), and put in the color dye you want to dye the fabric. Fabric dye can be found at any crafts store or online. Add enough of the dye for the water to turn a little bit darker than the shade you want. When the fabric is done washing, put it in the dye. The duration depends on the type of fabric, so check the color of the fabric frequently until it's the color you want. When it's the color you want, hang it up outside to dry over newspaper (to prevent dripping onto your floors). When It dries, wash again to set the color and you're done.

Steampunk is all about post-apocalyptic style. I would go with gold or bronze eyeshadow with some eyeliner and mascara for the eye make-up, and wear bronzer rather than blush!

It depends on the cosplay... If its furry, then you wash it a special way, etc.

All you really need it a white dress with straps instead of sleeves. Cut the pattern into the bottom of it. Get some light blue sandals, a blonde wig (if you don't have blonde hair already) and maybe a sketch-book. It's really a simple cosplay.

There are no cosplay stores in Utah. However, some Asian import stores do sometimes have a small costuming area with props and/or wigs. However, cosplay communities online will advertise cosplay yardsales, or swap-meets.
