If you are refering to the difference between Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source the differences are this:

Counter-Strike source being a newly made game has improved graphics, textures, physics and game play. The recoil dynamics and "Feel" of the game is much different from 1.6. In source maps have much more detail and high-res textures than in 1.6. Also, in Source a lot of the exploits of 1.6 were changed such as Crouch Hopping (Tapping your crouch button once, and then hitting it again and holding it would make your character "dip" down into a crouch position making the hit boxes of your character scramble, making a well placed head shot register as a well placed arm shot) Also, the radar has been changed. In 1.6 it was a small green circle on your screen showing dots for your allys and no one else. In Source the Radar is a large box that shows detail of the map, and it will show enemies if they fire a unsuppressed weapon.

First you have to put the demo file into your cstrike directory (in Steam folder). Check whether your file extension is .dem. Be sure to name it (the file) in an easy way to remember. If you're talking about installing Zombie Mod on your CS server, you need to compile the .amxx file and place it in "plugins" in your AMX Mod X directory. Then, extract the zombie mod files into your "cstrike" directory.

The word "RCon" is from Remote control. With the rcon, you can kick players, change password or map etc. To control the rcon you need to have the rcon password.

I think its due to your sound card, its possible to change the setting in your options menu but its very little difference, I have the same problem, especially when using midi, i play something and it comes through a second lateer!!! better sound card

The only time you can have zero latency is when you are recording an external source that can be monitered coming out at the same time it went in. Software synths and midi triggers sent to your system will always have latency due to the fact that your system has to have time (milleseconds) to process the information before it generates a signal.

With midi if you can send your midi stream to even the cheapest of external keyboards at the same time you send it to your computer, you can moniter the cheap keyboard using a sound similar to the one you intend on using from the computer, with no delay (latency)

It's due to your soundcard in comparison to your RAM and processor speed. Good soundcards with high RAM and high processing speed minimize latency.
