What happened on the third day of creation?
In Genesis, it proclaims that on the third day God had created dry ground which allowed plants to grow. The further cooling of the surface set in motion a process of natural contraction, uplifting and motion of the crust (the process continues today, called "plate tectonics"). The earth changed from a smooth one-level molten "cue ball" to a planet with an irregular surface with ocean basins and continental landmasses. With dry ground available, the first plants were made to grow in great abundance. (Genesis 1:9-13)
If God was the first person in the whole entire universe did he just appear or something?
The whole idea of God that he is eternal, he has no beginning and no end. He thus was already there in the beginning of time and was always there, although the more one thinks about this, the more difficult it is to grasp.
How many light years are there in stars that are in your sky?
The distance to stars is measured in light years, which is the distance light travels in one year. The stars we see in the night sky are typically several light years away, with the closest star to Earth, Proxima Centauri, about 4.24 light years away.
Are humans the universe gaining awareness of itself?
Some people believe that humans are a way for the universe to experience and understand itself, given our ability to observe, analyze, and reflect on the world around us. This perspective suggests that consciousness is a fundamental aspect of the universe and that humans are a manifestation of this self-awareness.
Why shouldn't you agree with the big bang theory but creationism?
This depends on which perspective you wish to choose.
From a purely scientific perspective, the big bang has a number of serious problems, in that it does not match observations, nor has it shown a capacity to be correct in its predictions. Increasing numbers of evolutionary scientists are themselves seriously questioning the big bang. Perhaps they will develop another theory, or perhaps they will seriously modify the original model. In any case, the big bang as it stands is looking increasingly 'shaky' as a scientific model.
On the other hand, although astronomy from a creationist perspective, is a relatively 'young' field in recent times, it walks on the shoulders of such greats as Coppernicus, Keppler, and Galileo.
From a biblical perspective it is quite clear that God 'stretched out the heavens' in the beginning. This is indeed an apt description of what has been discovered. The key statement of Genesis 1:1 still stands as the definitive creationist standard from which all else is to be judged. Certainly with this standard, as well as the understanding of the biblical time-frame, it is clear that the scientific observations which indicate a 'young' universe fit this. Since a universe billions of years old is also a central part of 'big bang thinking', evidence for a young universe also undermines the big bang itself. -1. Rapid Disintegration of Comets: means they cannot be 5 billion years old or they wouldn't exist. Around 100,000 years is postulated as a maximum, although they could certainly be much younger. -2. Saturn's Rings are aged much less than claimed by evolutionary theory:
This is based on relatively recent observations which show a decay rate of the rings which would mean that they would not still exist if the universe were as old as claimed by evolutionary theory.
- 3. Missing Supernova Remnants If the universe were as old as the big bang predicts, there should be a lot more SNR's. Instead the missing SNR's under the various stages through which they pass are what would be predicted under the creation model. In our galaxy, the three stages of the SNR's predicted under the two models point very clearly to which is right scientifically: Evolution/Big Bang Creation Actual found
First Stage: 2 2 5
Second Stage: 2260 125 200
Third Stage: 5000 0 0 Source: Scientific paper by Keith Davies, Distribution of Supernova Remnants in the Galaxy, Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Creationism, Creation Science Fellowship, Pittsburgh, ed. E. Walsh, pp. 175-184, 1994. Although it is obviously possible that some third stage SNR's may yet be found, it is obvious that observers cannot have missed 5000. Thus the big bang model fails the test of a good scientific theory, the ability to make correct predictions. Instead the actual evidence fits the creation model of a young universe much better.
If the big bang created the universe what created the thing that created the big bang?
People believe in god not because they can not comprehend scientific theories. They believe in god because our existence is super natural. Who ever or whatever created our existence, did not come from what is considered our dimension. But of another realm. An event can not occur without time. Time can not exist without matter. Before the big bang, there was nothing. There for there was no time. There for there was no event. nor could an event ever happen. Think of it this way, I robot can not build itself. It has to be built by something of another existence. The universe can not create itself, it has to be created by something of another existence in another realm. Thus you have god.
Actually god came a LONG way after the big bang, he was only invented about 2,000 years ago by a certain section of world population...by the way you cant all be right about your 'gods' -unless you think that Jesus and god sit along side ...vishnu and some totem poles or whatever other religions have god and believe in them.
We are at the moment (believe it or not) living in an explosion, the beginning of which was the BIg Bang, and the ending of which nobody knows. what we do know is that we are traveling through this explosion at the speed of light, when we are not moving believe it or not. Before time began everything that we know of and matter period was concentrated into a densely packed size of...stuff.
The closest analogy I can give you to explain and visualise the point is this. Have you ever seen a testing car crash on TV in slow motion shot with a super fast camera? well look what happens to all the glass from the headlights, the windscreen/shield, side windows. They were all part of a single entity (the car) but once enough energy acted on the car (the sudden stop into the wall!)
and the resulting reaction (explosion of all the shards of glass ect) were sent out on a predetermined trajectory through space time...if you can imagine the car as everything that the contents of the building blocks of the universe (space time) needed to form
well Im probably loosing you now....so that's the problem you see, the ones who don't have the intellect to comprehend these highly sophisticated theories of life and science/physics cant follow, and its just 'easier' for them to believe in 'god' - (which is either a long haired bearded man (who aparently grew up in the desert...hmmm how many of them are there, white skinned I might add??) or an elephant with 8 arms coming out of him (Vishnu (Hindu god I believe?) or any other religion. So for the masses who just cant comprehend or even want to accept the cold harsh reality of our existence...c'est la vie...
And to answer the question with a direct answer. Nothing existed before the big bang...and nothing exists outside existence...
I think that, maybe, there are some things that the mind (intellect) can't understand. Things that can be experienced just by means of conscience. The Big Bang is as far back as we can go. Science says nothing about what (if anything) happened before that, because it is unable to "see" beyond that point in time. All we can do is guess.
Many religious persons would simply say that some god caused the big bang to occur; however, this is outside the realm of science and thus cannot be shown correct or incorrect. It relies solely on faith (which given the circumstances is fair enough - we physically can't know either way).
Some scientists hypothesise models in which the universe undergoes a Big Bang, and then a Big Crunch, and then starts again; in this case the universe simply repeats itself, and this action is caused by gravity and the other fundamental forces.
Others present the idea that the Big Bang was everything that existed and has done so forever, and then became unstable - by whatever mechanism - allowing the Big Bang occurred.
How was God and Earth and the galaxy created?
According to the Bible, God spoke and it came to be. Obviously God had 'thought' about it and decided how it was all to be put together and about the laws which were to govern it etc, but since He is God, His 'thoughts' or decisions are able to come to pass precisely as He wants them to be. Many who believe this and see the order, complexity and beauty in the universe acknowledge God's handiwork. Others, who do not wish to do this prefer other explanations. However, the very laws of the universe, created by God, and later discovered by man, refute such explanations, such as the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics and point instead back to the creator.
Further to this, especially in more recent times due to advances in technology and in space exploration, many discoveries are being made which reinforce the idea of a 'young' solar system and universe, although many will dogmatically state it is not so.
What evidence supports creationism?
Currently, creationism is considered pseudoscience by the vast majority of the scientific community. It is supported by differing accounts from various religions, but to date, there is no observable, testable, or falsifiable evidence.
On creationist websites, and even answers here, creationists tend to "support" creationism by refuting evolution (although most of the arguments you will find have nothing to do with evolutionary theory at all). To creationists, this technique seems to indicate the veracity of the creationist view, but this is a logical fallacy known as a false dichotomy. If evolution is untrue, that does nothing to refute the various other explanations for the variety of life.
Is Kent Hovind right? A. Per his beliefs, it is up to you to decide. Come to the conclusion on your own, after researching the subject and hearing what he has to say. After all, we are intelligent beings. You have to look at what his view is and the opposing side to determine if you agree. DO NOT just listen to "stubborn, willingly ignorant" people that already hate him or to the "brainwashed whacko cult Christians" that follow without a brain (both are wrong as they both don't seek the answer). Therefore listen with an open mind and take a good look at the arguments. After all, this is the age of information! Don't let others tell you (whether subtle or outright) how to think! Whether Kent Hovind is right or not, in your opinion, it is up to you to decide! Don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise!
Here is a link that has his vids up for free (as he doesn't copyright):

I approve of the above answer by the way
Another Answer
Maybe some people will take the following philosophically. Rightness (as in 'Is he right'?) generally is construed as meaning 'with greater accuracy of description of the actual state of the Universe - in other words describing exactly the way it actually is. Science logically takes the position of describing things exactly the way they are (through the scientific method etc etc). Hovind's statements do not fall in the realm of science, so in the scientific sense, which sides very closely with the actual state of the Universe, he is not right.
Is it possible for Hovind to be right nonscientifically and therefore not corresponding to description of the actual state of the Universe? That would effect the redefining of the word 'right' or else it would violate all logic. And without logic, one can never excogitate, describe or manifest the actual state of the Universe in one's mind's eye, as it would be difficult to ever conclude what is right.
What did God create on the 4th day?
14 According to the Bible, "And on the fourth day he created the sun, the moon and stars, and he set them in the vault of heaven to give light on earth to have charge over day and night and to separate light from darkness."
Then God said, "Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them mark off the seasons, days, and years. 15 Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth." And that is what happened. 16 God made two great lights-the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, 18 to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 And evening passed and morning came, marking the fourth day.
So the sun, moon, and stars.
When were the planets created?
Answer One
The planets were created with the stars on day 4 of creation week.
Answer Two
The planets in our solar system were created via the gradual gravitational collapse of the circumstellar debris from a supernova preceding the formation of our sun, roughly 4.6 to 5 billion years ago.
Where in the Bible does God say no man knows when the world is going to end.?
In the Bible, Jesus states in Matthew 24:36, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." This verse emphasizes that the exact timing of the end of the world is known only to God the Father.
This is an improvement to this question, I hope you will see that evolution is false, and creation is the truth. First, look around you. Do you think that this all happened by chance? It's awfully complicated too; the systems in the world point to the creator God in heaven. Second, look at you. You do know that there is someone who made you, way way deep down, in your heart you truly know there is a God who loves you. So do you think you came from a monkey, I hope not, because scientists think they are just smart monkeys! Thirdly, the evidence. A while ago, people used to realize that EVERYTHING in the world pointed to God. Most (just about all) scientists around the time of Sir Isaac Newton, were devout Christians. I'm not talking about catholic, or baptist, or ortodox. I'm talking about Evangalistic Prodastants, which most people today say is basphemy. But even Newton was an Evangalistic Prodastant! But people today think of him only for his idea's, not his main one. So there you have it, Creation is true.
AnswerI think that evolution is the only plausible answer to the origin and development of individual species. AnswerCreation and Evolution are the two most popular ideas on how the world (and quite frankly, the universe) was created. Creation's theory is based on the Bible, the Holy Scriptures. At the very beginning of the Bible, Moses writes on how the earth and universe was created; according to God Himself. It states that God created everything. From the stars, to computer desks (yes, God inspires man to create computers :), He created everything...with just His voice, and His awesome power. This was taken place around 6,000-9,000 years ago. The proof and evidence for creation is overwhelming, I can't quite name them all on this answer.Evolution is the THEORY (not actually proven true) that man were evolved from one lowly state of nature, to what we are now. From once being ameba, to fish, to monkeys, and then finally ended up to being 100% Homo-Sapien (which means human being). Theory created by Charles Darwin, a scientist and evolutionist. But, the evidence for this theory is low. Evidence supposedly is found in the mix between two different creatures. E.g., a fossil that looks both like a reptile and a bird. But only few fossils are actually somewhat like this. And fossils aren't very distinguishing, they can be easily misleading. And the idea that earth was created millions of years ago isn't very accurate. The methods of time aren't at all precise. How can you tell how long ago everything was created by using technology? You can only use History. The Bible has very detailed historical time periods. Every one knows God is true. Dardwins theorys have to be wrong, there is not any evedece to back it up. Christiatity has tons!
What does the left side nautical star mean?
I have never heard this before, but my guess is that, as you face the pole star, everything to the left of it would be west.
There are various ways to test this, such as the smell, then the taste and then the satisfaction of one's favorite meal. Or, if you do it very carefully, find a wall or a tree and knock it with your knuckle, feel a little pain and listen to the sound of the impact. Ultimately, much of what we assume to be real is testable through our senses. These things are also repeatable by others through their senses. We do this when we see a distant object and ask someone else if they can see what we see etc. It is also testable when we are driving on the road and see flashing lights come up and then an officer step out of the car. Try and say 'this is not real' and see where you get.
Some people have tried to go further and suggest we cannot trust our senses. Although there are times when we certainly can be deceived such as in optical illusions, these views are somewhat in a minority.
ANSWER:
On a sub atomic level maybe not. Maybe this world is agreement by all of us and all that we smell, taste and touch is only more agreement. God is in the details.
Or, just to say, hopefully.
How many light years away is Sirius the stars?
Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, is located about 8.6 light years away from Earth.
On the fourth day God created the greater light for what?
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night...
Is there proof of an afterlife?
Like the belief in God, the belief in the existence of the afterlife rests upon tradition, not measurable proofs. You believe that it exists and live accordingly, or you reject it. The afterlife, and God, cannot be conclusively proven, in order to afford us free-will.

More information:
One of the central beliefs of Judaism, as stated in the Talmud (Mishna, Sanhedrin 11:1) and codified by Maimonides (1135-1204), is that the soul continues to exist and is treated in accordance with the person's actions while he or she was alive. This applies to all people, whatever their religion.
The Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) doesn't dwell at length on the afterlife; and nor does Judaism spend a lot of time speculating on its details. However, that is not meant to diminish from its importance. Rather, the Torah implies that we are to use the bulk of our energies in keeping God's ways in this world, with our feet firmly planted on Earth, while nonetheless not losing awareness of our beliefs.
Our ancient sages stated the importance of being aware of the next world: "This world is a mere entrance-hall before the afterlife" (Mishna, Avot ch.4).
All outstanding accounts are settled after this life. Some cases illustrate this point, since this entire world wouldn't be enough to reward a Moses or punish a Hitler. And while we're alive, knowledge of the future world serves as one of the motivations to keeping God's will.
The Tanakh does not delve into detail of the rewards of the righteous because religions could compete with more and more poetic promises. Also because belief in the afterlife was shared by all ancient societies and needed little reiteration. Besides, it would be like describing the colors of a sunrise to someone who was blind from birth.
It is, however, referred to briefly in Torah verses such as Genesis 15:15, which states that "You (Abraham) will come to your fathers in peace and will be buried in good old age." Coming to his fathers does not mean simply to be buried with them, since Abraham was not buried with his ancestors. Such verses are stated many times.
The prophets are more explicit with such references (see Isaiah 26:19 and 66:24, Daniel 12:13, Zechariah 3:7, 1 Kings 8:30, 2 Kings ch.2, Ecclesiastes 12:7). The afterlife is spoken of at length in the Talmud. More than 20 pages of Talmud (Sanhedrin 90-110, Rosh Hashanah 16-18, and other passages) are given to this subject.

Why are all planets named after a god?
Planets in our solar system are named after Roman gods because of the tradition established by ancient astronomers to use mythology for inspiration. For example, Mercury is named after the Roman god of commerce, Venus after the goddess of love, and Mars after the god of war. This naming convention has been maintained for continuity and historical significance.
Why is there something rather than nothing?
Another answer from our community:
The Biblical answer would be that God created the 'something' out of nothing. This is referred to as creation ex nihilo and refers to the creation of all that exists by the one and only almighty God, in the beginning.
Nehemiah 9:6 (King James Version): 6Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Acts 14:15 (King James Version):15And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
The Bible also describes God as the sovereign Lord. In other words He is completely self-sufficient and self-directed and so had no need in Himself to make the world or anything else. He made the world, the 'something' because He wanted to.
But the question is "Why is there anything at all?" That implies "Why was there God in the first place?"
Actually it is a silly question (to a human being). As an analogy, imagine a goldfish in a bowl, swimming around and around in circles, and the bowl is on a train going from New York to LA. The bowl is in a closed box. Ask the fish, "where are you going?" He says, "Around my bowl." You say, "That is true, but you're swimming all the way to Los Angeles too."
"Why is there a God?", is a question beyond our knowledge and our understanding. The fish cannot envisage being out of the water in its bowl. We cannot envisage anything out of the time or space of this Universe.
Can stars live for billions of years?
Stars are nonliving. They cannot live at all.
However, they do last and exist for billions of years; our own for example has been going for 4.5 billion and is expected to go at least that amount again.
How can you see stars if they are millions of light years away?
Because 1) they are very bright, most of them are bigger than our sun 2) light travels very quicky when you look at them, you are looking at the star about hundreds of millions of years ago, as that is how long it takes for the light to get to here.
What Metaphors are in the creation story?
Those who use a literal interpretation of the Bible and apply it where relevant, such as in Genesis and numerous other places where the creation is mentioned, do not find any metaphor in the creation story. It was written as an account or a witness of what happened in the beginning, although it obviously doesn't contain all the details. So from this perspective the answer would be none.
Another answer from our community:
Did God create the universe and everything in it in six days? Perhaps. But the universe and the earth have been around a lot longer than those who interpret the Bible literally say it has.
Answer With the Creation account in the King James version, a point of confusion may be where the word 'heaven' may be taken to mean the atmospheric heavens of the earth, but as this was created on the second day it can't be the same 'heaven' that was created on the first day:-
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavenbe gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Earlier, the creation account in Genesis 1:1 in the King James version translates the Hebrew word 'shamayim' into English as 'heaven' in the singular:-
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
However, other versions have translated it as 'heavens' plural:-
(ASV) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
(CEV) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
(GNB) In the beginning, when God created the universe,
(LITV) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth;
(MKJV) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
(NET) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
(WEB) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
It does not mean the stars of heaven, which were made only on day 4 of Creation Week:-
Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
In Genesis, God created everything, but in the New Testament John says the Word created everything, and later on Paul says Jesus Christ made every single thing. This means the Creator was Jesus Christ:-
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word [Jesus Christ] , and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Col 1:14 In whom [Jesus Christ] we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him [Jesus Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
So, the universe and all the planets were created on the 4th day of Creation Week by Jesus Christ.
