Yes, they are dating when the show went off the air. They broke up when they were told to but they couldn't stay apart. Jules was dating someone else but then she realizes he wasn't the man for her. In season 4 episode 1 Jules comes to Sam's apartment and they get back together until Sam's sister walks through the door. In the end of the episode they get back and ever since that they went against the rules and got back together. Greg finds out about them and keeps the secret but soon they were caught when Sam's and Jules conversation was recorded. The chief of the SRU allowed them to stay on the team and stay together as long as they could stay focused and be able to put citizens first.

Why would you not know what to talk about with your girlfriend? Did you start dating her before you got to know her? That's a fast way to break up cause you don't know what you got yourself into. BUT if not, just talk about ANYTHING! She's your girlfriend! Talk about your day, her day. What's going on in her life. Her favorite things such as sport, car, music, etc. Does she have pets? Does she want some? You can talk about ANYTHING! Really! Another example, you can go up to her and ask her what she's doing and she'll answer and whatever she says just respond to it. Ask questions about it or if her answer brings another memory talk about that. For instance,

-"I'm just checking my facebook"

-"Ohh I see." *Look at her facebook newsfeed. Talk about anything that catches your eye*

If this girl is your girlfriend, or one of your best/good/extremely close friends, I can see no problem with it, the reason is, is that when a girl is close to someone, they tend to want a deep relationship with them, whether as friends or bf/gf. In our systems this involves personal things. It basically means (depending on how close you two really are) that she is either a huge snoop, she is really curious about you but doesn't realize how innapropriate you view her questions to be, or she really really cares about you and wants to know as much as possible about you.
