Dengue fever symptoms

Symptoms are most likely to be seen in adults and older children. Young children may not show any symptoms. these include

The sudden onset of fever lasting from three daysto a week

Bad headaches particularly behind the eyes

Pain in muscles and joints like ankles, knees and elbows

A metallic taste in mouth, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain

Flushed skin on face and neck followed by a fine skin rash as fever the subsides

A rash on arms and legs, severe itching, peeling of skin and hair loss

Minor bleeding from nose or gums and heavy menstrual bleeding extreme tiredness
