Both are harmful to your health. Both erode the enamel from the teeth and cause weight gain. Research has actually found a possible link between diet drinks to brain cancer and suggest that it can lead to the development of Alzheimer as well. The word "diet" does not mean healthier. If one is striving to find a healthier alternative, they should do away with soda all together. Any processed product is dooming to your health.

The primary difference is the removal of a natural sweetener , sugar, which has about 800 calories per cup. 1- 8oz. serving of a popular cola has around 100 calories. So this 1/8 of a cup of natural sugar is replaced with one of 3 artificial products. These have almost no calories. So the obvious health benefit of not drinking 1/8 cup of sugar must be weighted against various claims and counterclaims of these other products.

Diet soda is worse than regular ones because diet has lots of sugar in it and calcium.

It's not safe to drink/eat expired *anything*. There are some ingredients in the item that may spoil and cause harm to the consumer. It's best to just fork over the $1.50 and play it on the safe side. :) Happy sipping!

That depends on if you mean tastes better or better for you. If you mean tastes better, then that would be an answer that would differ depending on who you ask. If you mean better for you, then that would also be an individual determination since some people can not have sugar, so Diet Pepsi would be better for them.

I personally like Diet Pepsi better than regular Pepsi but mostly because that is what I am used to now. However, I like Diet Pepsi best with some fresh lemon squeezed in it.

The only market that i knew that carried diet grape was the Winn Dixie food chain. It was a Chek brand Grape drink. I havent been able to find a grape diet drink since they closed all their stores in North Carolina.

Items needed:

Diet Coke (not a can, must be in a bottle. The large bottle is reccomended for this type of bomb)

String (at least 3-6 inches, not too strong)

A lot of Mentos (the more diet coke, the more mentos)

What to do: Take the cap off of a new bottle, and tie the mento pieces to string. 3 mentos would be a good amount for a big bottle (not 100% sure, and more for the bomb). Then take them and put them inside the bottle NOT touching the coke AT ALL (if you have to relax and take a sip it won't bite xD). Then close it, and choose 1 of 2 options:

Coke Cannon: Close the diet coke tightly, and either attack someone with it (for fun) or just make a fountain. Shake the bottle some so it is ready then aim it to where you want it to explode (not completely up though). Loosen the cap and BOOM.

Coke Bomb: Tape the top part of the bottle, and wait for when you want to use it. Shake it, lay it down and run.

There is no sugar in Diet Pepsi, it uses NutraSweet.

The sweetener used in Sprite is not table sugar but high fructose corn syrup (really another type of sugar). However I would assume that the average person who asks this question is really asking for an answer stated in teaspoons of sugar. In other words, what is the equivalent amount of table sugar. When we talk about teaspoons of table sugar also keep in mind that a baker's teaspoon is not rounded. So a standard teaspoon of sugar is 15 calories. A rounded teaspoon is 25 calories. Most people add rounded teaspoons to their drinks.

Now we know that, Sprite contains sugar and flavor. It is probably a correct assumption that all of the calories in Sprite come from sugar. According to the Sprite nutritional information, 240 grams of Sprite contains 96 calories. A 12-oz. can of Sprite is the same as a 340 gram can of Sprite. Doing the math, a 12-oz. can of Sprite has 136 calories. That would be equivalent to 9 (flat) teaspoons of sugar.

I'm not an expert on nutrition, but thought I would take a crack at answering this question anyway. Any experts out there feel free to correct me. Also, Coca Cola has 39 grams! That's roughly 18 to 19 sugar packets! and that's a regular can! Think about the next time you drink a regular Coke can. That will change your life...

Because the high sugar content in regular coke makes it more dense. Diet sodas in general are less dense because the artificial sweetener used is much much sweeter than sugar, and so it is not necessary to add nearly as much (about 10 times less). So diet sodas are less dense than regular soda, and a can of diet soda will float in water but not regular.
