Discrimination in any form is discrimination. Individual discrimination is discrimination of one person against a group. Institutional discrimination would be a institution totally and wholly discriminating against a group or sect.

Unfortunately there is discrimination against every race and culture. There is no reason why certain people hate other people. There is no way to force people to like each other or get along.

its not only white Americans who discriminate, other white people do too. and a common perception is that only white people discriminate, which is not true, black people do too. people discriminate because they are 1) scared of people who are different 2) think people who are different are inferior 3) here lies about another race that make them look down on that race.

Because Justin bieber is from there and many other people not liked.

Well when that is named a "white trash" then it is offensive but if that is called to be a game called then it can be offensive to some extent even though it is not directly said to them it wpuld not stand offensive.

The constitutional authority of Congress to forbid discrimination in employment is based on the power of Congress to regulate interstate commerce.

Not all hate US southerners, but the many that do choose to because of stereotypes they tend to believe (e.g., they believe all southerners are racist and hostile because of the dark history in the south, are unhealthy because of food normally served, are uneducated because of accents and terms used in speech, etc.) Based on those reasons, they think southerners deserve to not be liked although those stereotypes do not hold true for many who live down south.

I'm French Canadian, and I don't know of any French Canadians who feel they are victims of discrimination. I think this impression that people have (usually English Canadians) comes from two places. The first, which is typically misunderstood is the desire for public services in French. Francophiles (people who ONLY speak French) technically have the right to request any public service in French. Doctors, road signs, bus drivers and birth certificate forms are all examples of things that we have the legal right to access in French. While there is an abundance (perhaps an overabundance) of these in Quebec, Francophiles in other areas of the country have a much harder time accessing these things.

The second, which is the more contentious of the two issues (though the first is fairly contentious among English Canadians), dates back to the First World War, in which French Canadians were promised that they would not be conscripted into a war which they felt did not concern them. Ultimately, they were conscribed like everyone else. It was the opinion of many French Canadians that the British government had done no favours for us, so why should we risk the lives of our fathers and sons for them? The same conscription crisis happened again in the Second World War, although many more French Canadian volunteered for the Second World War, seeing that it was more clearly a war of morality, versus a war of empires, which the first was. When they came back, they felt that in general, the Canadian government did not care as much about French Canadians as English Canadians, and gave us less rights. They formed a movement called the Seperatist movement, petitioning Quebecois people to pressure the government to allow Quebec to become its own country. Twice the entire country voted, and the most recent time, it was within a 5% marigin, to keep Quebec in Canada.

Structural discrimination is when certain communities and societies have discriminatory views about certain people and other societies. They tend to pass on the discriminatory views down through their generations. They have a certain set of beliefs that they follow and have pre conceived ideas.

Men were paid more than women for the same work and women tended to be relegated to low paying jobs that were not valued, such as: housecleaners, cooks, waitresses, phone operators and hairdressers. It was much much harder for a woman to get a degree and when she did, she had a hard time finding work in a professional field, such as being a lawyer or doctor. Even in those fields, women were paid far less than their male counterparts.

In the first place there has always been a fear in people for things, ideas or people that are different from what they see as the norm. You can see it in school at an early age where children with disability's or those that have a different style of behavior are singled out for bullying and discrimination. Naturally as a result of the invasions of the colonial era people became further divided into groups based on racial criteria. the people of the western country's needing to justify their inexcusable behavior with ideas that they were spreading enlightenment an civilization to the poor savages abroad. the problem is that today there are still many people that are being fed this line. the western country's are still proud of their record as empire builders so the attitude gos on. Racism and nationalism will always be with us because it is a natural part of primitive defence and needed to protect a culture against the influence of other cultures. Until the Petty cultural differences and between neighbours and jealousy of performance, laziness's, and difference between people stops there will always be racism and people that will use it to try (often succeeding) to further their own ends.
