How much would a 1963 dalek be worth?

An original 1963 Dalek would cost a great deal, although it entirely depends upon it's condition.

If it had 'starred' in the original first appearance of the Daleks and was in excellent condition, then you could expect to pay tens of thousands of pounds sterling for it. If it was in poor condition and needed restoration then the price might be less, but you'd still be looking at several thousand.

Not all Daleks built were used in the TV series- several were used as promotional devices, to promote Dr.Who at sci-fi conventions, in department stores to promote Dr.Who merchandise, for photo-shoots with celebrities etc. So if you were prepared to settle for one of these, that didn't actually appear in the TV series, then an original '63 might set you back about £4,000-odd.

Is a Sonic Screwdriver a wand?

No, it is not a wand. It is, as its name states, a screwdriver. Just a highly advanced one with more capablities than an ordinary screwdriver.

The device made its debut in 1968 during the Patrick Troughton as the Dr era. The Doctor produced it from his pocket to open a black metal box in episode one of Fury From The Deep. Troughton didn't rely on the sonic screwdriver as much as his successor, the gadget-loving Jon Pertwee. The third Doctor famously used the screwdriver to frighten away the creatures in The Sea Devils, by exploding mines along a beach. It was tis series that the screw driver really did become the all uses capable piece of equipment as the BBC had run out of money and needed to cut back on the shows financial outlay. Pertwee then was "grounded" on earth"as the Tardis didnt work. The screw driver was the essential tool to keep views wating for the Tardis to stsrt its repair.

Fourth Doctor Tom Baker loved the idea that the sonic screwdriver it could open any door..! Baker was keen to exploit the comedic potential of the prop.

Eighties Producer John Nathan-Turner decided the sonic screwdriver was too often used as a 'magic wand' to solve any dilemma the Doctor faced. Keen to distance the show from magic, and in an effort to make the fifth Doctor more vulnerable, Nathan-Turner had the device written out.

In the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie, seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy finally managed to get his hands on a restored sonic screwdriver. Paul McGann's Doctor only got the sonic screwdriver back at the end of the film and used it to repair the TARDIS console.

When the show was revampt by Russell T. Davies, the sonic screwdriver made a welcome return, it has become one of the most purchased pieces of Dr equipment across the world.
