But that's not all! Also on the day before Easter, you can decorate real eggs to! You can get a kit at Walmart, etc. And then you can make them all colorful and decorate them! And then the next day, you go out with your Easter baskets and try to find all of the eggs! What my family usually does is after we find all of the eggs, we make scrambled eggs out of the real ones we decorated! What also helps is after you are done filling the eggs with candy and decorating real ones is to count how many plastic ones you have and how many real ones you have, so then the next day after you guys are all done finding them, you can count them to make sure that there aren't any missing! - The act of betrayal, the darkest deed in human history, came next, occurring at the stroke of midnight.
- Jesus was led away for a trial before the high priest and other senior priests and elders. This governing body then judged him, on the basis of his messianic claim, to be worthy of death. It was 3:00 a.m.
- The watch of the night between 3 am and 6 am was called cockcrow. Peter's threefold denial of Jesus, once each hour until the cock crowed, marked the end of that phase of the night. That makes it 6 am.
- "As soon as it was morning", which would be 6 am, Jesus was led by the chief priests, scribes and elders to Pontius Pilate for judgement.
- Mark told his readers that the crucifixion story was shaped liturgically: " It was the third hour when they crucified him," that is, 9 o'clock in the morning.
