in a 2011 magazine interveiw, after being blackballed from radio stations KMEL AND Wild 94.9 he said he was "taking a break." Scweez called it blackballed however it was more like they banned him from all clear channel stations due to affiliation violent street activity. Not violent on his behalf, but violent as in other local Bay rap artist made death threats towards him. Not only did they threaten him, but they threatened the radio D.J'S at the stations, as well as their on air personailties with death threats if they continued to play any scweez music. At one point Scweez had 3 different songs on the radio. The other artists just wanted a chance for their music to get heard and played. Street politics mixed with mainstream radio politics in the history of music was never a good thing.

One main reason why Eminem has a great impact on society is the fact that he points out our contemporary society's hypocrisy and failures. To conservative people who usually live in a too comfortable world to be real, Eminem will always be a big threat. Of course, the rapper's words will always hammer against them. When you have everything you want, when life has always been easy for you, it is difficult to understand white trash and underground people's rage.

The songs original name is actually just "Toy Soldiers" and not "Like Toy Soldiers", and this song is sang by Marshall, otherwise known as Eminem. This is a very good song that made a hit as well in he late 2000's.

From that statement I gather you are probably between the age of 14 and 17 :>) We were in the same place as you are with your parents and we all had to figure out the balance of power over the years so what I am telling you is coming from both sides of the picture!

I am the father of 2 , boy and girl, grand father to 1 and uncle to 9 nephews and 6 nieces along with numerous younger cousins as well as the numerous friends of all of them. I have participated in this same discussion many times over years about the same subject and no matter how many time we go through it the answer always the same" TO GET RESPECT YOU HAVE TO EARN IT" and also have to learn "HOW TO SHOW RESPECT" as well !

The suggestion I am making is that if you want them to LEAVE YOU ALONE, communicate and earn trust and help them realize you are growing up. That means TALKING to them in a calm manner every once in a while. Show that you are gaining maturity and are glad they are interested but that you need space to make some of your own decisions and with that your own mistakes. Sometimes all they want is to know you are ok, but it is a fine line between concern and being overbearing and all parents are learning the rules same as you!

As parents, we have a tendency to want to know everything about what is going on with our children. We want to make sure they are safe and not getting into trouble but the problem is we see them as the babies they once were and not as the young adults they are becoming.
