Well honestly there are short emo hair styles like mine. or there are longier scene type harstyles . emo hair is spikey. and scene is like spikey and big in the back so yeah... and the best way to grow yewr hair out is to use horse shampoo I barrowed my friends for a week at camp because I for got my shampoo in those 7days my hair grew 5inches!

First people DO NOT CUT THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY ARE EMO. Don't believe all emos cut themselves just because its what real emos do, because its wrong. People cut themselves for multiple reasons

1.Bullying

2.they think hurting themselves will make things right

3.family problems

4.people problems (relationships, etc.)

5.they like to (sadly)

Emo is a made up word that some person made up, it's just another way of saying... ... " Hey everyone i have problems!" Emo does not mean you cut yourself, Emo does not mean you are suicidal.

Emo is just another word for emotional..... it doesnt mean you always cut yourself or your suicidal, it doesnt mean you have to hide your face with your hair or your an outcast or you hear voices or you need to be in a mental institution, that's just what socioty thinks. what DOES make a person an emo. people are so steroetypical these days.

i tend to wear band tee shirts or black patterned ones, and black drainpipe jeans. i wear DVS skate shoes because they are comfy but converse are also cool. i wear 2 belts also, one leather colourful one on the bottom and a checky studded one on top (generally black and something) i always have my trusty plain black hoody on me (couldn't live without it) and multiple band wristbands (however many, there is no such thing as overkill).

no. not at all. most of them are really nice but it depends on the person. just because someone dress differently than you or your friends doesnt mean they are 'freaks' or 'losers' it just means they have a different way of thinking. just let people be who they want to be it's not your job to watch over them. and btw i am quite fond of emo boys. :D ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No. One of my best friends is Emo and she is cool. The appearances of the homeless can keep people from offering them jobs. Fashion models tend to be skinny to the extent that it is extremely unhealthy. People may feel uncomfortable physically becayse of peer pressure not to wear a "dorky" coat or to wear uncomortable shoes. Fashion can consume money and resources that could be put to uses that help society more. Older children can feel pressured to grow up too fast. 10-year-old girls may want to shave their legs or wear bras. People may support stores that use sweatshop labor because their priority is finding clothes that are "cute &cheap" or they think that the clothes from fair-trade stores are "hippie clothes." REAL emo was originated in the 80's. It ended in the late 90's. THen from 2000 to the present, a bullcrap, fake version of the emo genre has been mass market. That mass marketing is the only reason we have stupid emo kids running around. Old school emo music was unique. The new crap isn't. It's just suicidal pop.

To grow a good emo fringe it takes about 1 year from being really short.

To me ,emo means emotional.There is even an group of people called emos,refering to them as very emotional people.Some people call emo an music genre or a clothing type.Emo music is described as hardcore with screaming and sad lyrics.Emo clothing is described to be skinny jeans that are dark colors,band tees,and maybe some spiky arm bands and belts.An emo's hair is usually just some long bangs covering one eye or are shaped in awkward positions that conflict with the rest of the hair.Most people consider emos as cutters,refering to them slicing their wrists with knives or razors,but i believe you have a choice to do that and you do not have to cut to be considered an emo.Also,some people refer to emos as bisexuals,meaning they have feelings for both sexes,even their own.Once again,only some emos are bisexuals that i know of.
