To be emo? You can act and look like a emo but that does not mean you are one.

We don't cut ourselfs thats just a steryotipe. We dress in skinny jeans, musical

T shirts, paint our eyes, wear converse all star shoes and hide one or two of our eyes with our hair, paint our nails, wear wrist bands, most of the clothing should be black but a pink, blue, red or what ever is okay just so long as it is just the shirt or just the pants but thats just the look you don't have to dress like that if your emo. It's just a clothing style.

Whats makes a emo? Well some are depressed but not all, we are all very musical, we listen to songs that have deep and often sad meanings, we are often poetic etc.

Goths. I don't know much about them but goths wear only black cloths and perhaps little white here and there. They sometimes do have makeup but thats white and black and i belive they pray to demonic things, lot of 666, pagan stars and that sort of things.

And dad's that are in there 50's seeing there 15 year old son painting his eyes and nails, dressing in tight jeans and having exotic hair can make them a bit confused.

Emo's don't often wear colours like yellow or orange although some emo's do wear neon colours but stereotypically they where dark colours like grey, black navy blue. Although If you wear all black you can be stereotypically classed as Goth although goth's don't all wear black.

Totally! If your gonna dye your hair go with whitish blond with dark brown or black highlights that get thicker as it gets closer to the bottom. Grow your hair out and get some funky edgy layers then flat iron it and tease it so its messy... That will lock great with glasses (better with a thick frame!)

1st answer: It's probably because cutting hands and the top of your wrists is an emo stereotype. Either way it isn't healthy and you should probably get help. I cut too so I know how you feel. I can't get help due to my family not knowing how to fix me and low money. If you can get help then definitely do it.

2nd answer: Everybody can get help, even when you don't have the money or you don't want to tell your parents. You could contact your GP for help and go to therapies.

Of course they can! Being emo doesn't mean that you have to hang around with emo's, date emo's or have anything to do with other emo's. Emo is a style, not an actual race of people, that seems to be forgotten quite a lot.

There are no rules saying what emo's can and can't do, its all about freewill, no body can say who can fall in love with who and vice versa.

Punks and goths typically have the same morals but are a little different. Goths tend to wear black with maybe a little Victorian edge and punks usually wear leather or tarden. Also, punks are very skeptical were as goths just view the world as a dark and scary place. Punks also typically get into trouble a lot, such as graffitying or joining a gang. Punks are also sometimes involved in drugs or drug cartel, however it is more common in goths.
