Because you said "idolized" I'm assuming that you mean Fallout: New Vegas. If you get into the underground bunker of their's in hidden valley (can be done different ways), you should ask around. Talk to a few people and I'm sure you can find something to do for them that will make them like you and the more you do, the bigger assignments they give you, the more caps and the more they like you :)

I've heard were ever the nuclear bomb hits, 300 miles from it everything is destroyed. Nothing would be left except some bodies and buildings sadly. I think you should be at least 500-600+ miles away from the hit so if you do survive,your food or water won't be infected from the blast.

Fact: I originally upgraded this story, however this user overwrote the true stats of an standard nuclear explosion. To survive an nuclear bomb, ideally be outside of of an 50 mile radius of the inital explosion. If you are within 50 miles, get moving away from the blast zone fast. Move up air. Study wind currents in your area and head where the wind will be flowing to the blast site, not from the blast site or down current. Good luck.

Not like in many of its competator RPGs, to my knowledge the only realtionships that you can have are with the various characters that act as prostitutes all though there is little that goes a long with it. Not even certain if it provides any buffs, or just takes your caps. And the only other "relationship" that I know of is with Bittercup in Big Town, where occasionally if you go to visit she will provide you with various items.

Because it is a retrofuturistic game meaning it has symbols and advertisments and other things from the 50s but is set in the future. The reason the game is like this is because the game's story is based around if the U.S and another country nuclear bombed each other in the 50's and there is nuclear fallout everywhere. Since this occured in the 50's the games culture takes a lot from the 50's because like I said before the fallout happened during the 50's so alot of the 50's culture was left behind if that makes sense.

I believe that when you finish the quest of going through the arena, there's a toolbox right behind the chick that tells you who you're going to be fighting each round. It contains everything you had before you went into the gate into The Pitt. I left all my stuff in a locker at Megaton before I went haha. After leaving the American camp walk directly through the are where small nukes are being dropped (if your carefull you can walk through completely unharmed) then follow the pathways through the trenches and destroyed town which will lead you to the pulse field. When arriving at the field you can disable it by going into the building to the right of the field (make sure you stay away from the middle of the field when doing this or else you will be fried.) and pressing the botton inside. Then you should be able to cross the field to get to the Chinese compound.
