How do you change the headlight bulb on a fiat scudo?

It is tight, but the trouble is to assume that the two bottom lugs of the clip undo as with most conventional bulbs, but the thing to do is to release it from the other end ie where you would normally expect it to hinge. So pull off the cover and disconnect the plug-in and then get a small vanity mirror to see the top properly. It is secured on one side only and you should be able to see the single retaining lug. It's a fiddle but you can free it with a bit of trial and error - nothing like the force I was using and wasting trying to free one of the two bottom ends.Stick the new bulb in - a 472 - and clip the thing back in and hope it doesn't go any time soon again

Where can you get a wiring diagram for a fiat scudo?

What is the correct tire pressure for a fiat dublo?

if the car is in near original condition there should be a sticker in the glove box or in the door jamb indicating front and rear pressures for the sizes recommended by the factory. To be safe though, the tires themselves will indicate rated pressure, look at the small lettering on the sides of the tires. It should say something like 35 p.s.i. cold or something similar. Hope this helps. Bytor

Fiat ulysse headlight bulb change?

Pull the rubber cap of the back of the headlamp unit over the bulb. Position a small mirror, I used a handbag mirror, so that you can see where everything is. Remember it! You cannot see when your hand is in the way. Now put your hand in to remove the wiring connector from the back of the bulb. Once the wires are off you need to push the bottom of the wire clip holding the bulb in place inwards and to the left of the car to release it allowing it to hinge up and release the bulb. Now reverse to replace with a new bulb. Be sure to use the mirror to check the bulb is seated exactly before clipping in as the light scatters everywhere if it is not 'home'. Believe me once you use a mirror and can see what you need to do it is easy.

How do you Reset service spanner fiat ducato 2.8 diesel 2005?

Found on 'Motorhome facts' forum

From interpretation of the handbook (which admittedly is not straightforward)

CFG1/2/3 select the service interval. 18,600, 12,500 or 9,300 miles respectively (can be set for different usage patterns for different models).

Once you've got the CFGn displayed, a quick push on the button switches between them, but once you've got the one you want, hold the button down (it says at least 5 seconds).

This should reset the service interval to the required mileage, and reset the service indicator.

I assume you have had the service indicator switch on due to mileage? The spanner symbol on mine always displays as a test on switch on. When a service is due, I additionally expect a countdown to appear and not disappear until the config above is done.

Change thermostat fiat seicento?

the thermostat on this model is built into the housing itself, make sure you can get the part first.

when i did it, you need a socket set with an extension bar.

you need to get a couple of bits out of the way first, remove the duct tube to take heat from the exhaust manifold to the air intake, just pulls off one end, but has a clip the exhaust end.

then unbolt the cables and stuff at about 4oclock from the thermostat, which is by the way at the right hand end of the engine block.

its just held on by 2 bolts.

they are easy enough to get out, but once you have the new one in place then make sure you have plenty of the blue liquid gasket on. don't over tighten but make sure its on tight.

i can't tell you how to get it in and out when its unbolted its a wiggle and it will come out then back in again.

its not that hard to be honest.

What engine will fit in a 1970 fiat 850 spider?

The original US version of the 850 had an 847 cc engine that evolved from the Fiat 600 powerplant except it rotates the wrong way. A 600 engine will bolt in but there are water pump issues and you will have 1 speed forward and 4 in reverse. The clean air act mandated emission controls for all engines over 50 cubic inches displacement. Fiat shrunk the 847 cc engine to 817 cc which is 49.9 cubic inches and under the limit. WHen that exemption was eliminated Fiat expanded the engine to 903 cc and greatly improved its lubrication system. The 903 is the best choice for any 850 bodied sedan, coupe, or spider. Abarth offered a kit that adapted the Fiat 124 engine to the 850 but these kits are very hard to find and tend to be expensive. The kit allowed either the pushrod of with some messing around the 124 twin cam engine to be fitted. The big disadvantage of a larger engine is that the weight bias to the rear gets even worse than with the 850 engine. With primitive swing axles and well over 60% of the vehicle weight on the rear wheels the car can be downright lethal in inexperienced hands. There are several sources like Bayless who can supply all kinds of 850 parts and are wizards at interchangeability. I would be glad to answer questions to the best of my ability at USDSJDM01@AOL.COM. I am not a parts supplier or dealer of any kind-just a Fiat enthusiast.
