Field sports are those events that are not performed on a track. When you hear the term 'Track and Field', the 'track' sports are those that are performed on a track (100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 1500 meter run, etc.). The 'field' sports are not performed on a track (high jump, long jump, shot put, pole vault, etc).

Actually that is false. it is completely legal to wear wristtape. u cannot wear any accessories on ur wrist or fingers though. it must be wrist tape, that is the only legal thing allowed on your wrist unless there is a medical condition on other parts of ur hand such as finger brace for broken finger, or hand u dont throw with has a cast due to broken bone. So wearing wrist tape is legal. all professionals and most college throwers and most highschoolers wear it to provide support for wrists.
It depends. Can she run laps around a track with ease or does she excel at running short distance sprints. If she is a distance runner then she has a slow twitch muscle. A 400-1600m race would probably be good for her. If she is a sprinter that means she has a fast twitch muscle. Anything less than 400m would probably be good fo her.
