Left half in hockey is the left midfield. Their job depends on the strenghts of the rest of the team. If the team is strong, the left half's job is to stop the ball from passing the 25m line and hit it back into the D for their forwards to score. If their team is weak then the left half will be more a defender and should stay back to be another defender. The position of left half, is difficult to play because it is on the left hand side so requires a lot of reverse stick work, a strong hit (to play the ball up to the forwards) and the player has to be extrememly fit (to run back and forth to defend and attack.)
Half time is usually after the first 35 timed minutes of play, unless a penalty corner or stroke is being played out at that time; in this case, halftime begins upon the completion of said corner or stroke.
To speak a welcome speech in Hindi all subjects are spoken first, adjectives will be in the middle, and all the verbs go at the end. It is recommended to smile first and foremost as smiling is a universal language.
A free hit would be given if one team commits an offense under the rules and it is a disadvantage to the nonoffending team. Offenses might include a dangerous ball, hacking, obstruction of any kind, and raising the ball illegally, as well as the ball contacting a player's foot, body or the back of their stick.

At present, Micheal Nobb of Australia is the coach of Indian Hockey.
The "ready position" is the stance which a tennis player uses to prepare him/herself to hit the tennis ball. For further information, refer to the "BBC Sport" link, below.
The Main Set Plays in field hockey are:
Penalty/Short corners, Long corners, 16 Yd hits.
Although some people forget, the following are also set plays and should have a set

Jaipal Singh Munda was the captain of Indian Hockey Team in 1928 Olympic.
There are two 25 yard marks and one 50 yard line. So there are 100 yards on a field hockey field!
There is currently no offside rule in field hockey. There were prior offside rules, rules that restricted the positioning of players from the attacking team in a way similar to the offside rule in soccer. The offside rules were changed as the rules of field hockey changed. The evolution of the field hockey offside rule culminated with its abolition in the mid 1990s.
Because it is fun, it is healthy for you, and it is an interesting game.
In Victoria, Australia, with the introduction of the new free hit rule, all opposing players must be 5 metres away from the player taking the free hit.
You may be comparing the goalie kick of soccer. The equivalent in field hockey would be the '16-yard hit'; this is not taken by the goalie but by a defender. There are also some major differences; the ball is placed level with the top of the circle, in line with where it went out, and is played the same way as a free hit would be.
There are so many reasons why (none of them justifiable): they don't understand it (when it's a simpler game than, say, rugby union); they stereotype players as gay or weak (when hockey is almost the most evenly balanced sport sex-wise, and would you want to brawl with people who can hit a ball at almost 100mph?); or maybe they just hate things because they don't like them ("if you aren't with us you're against us", no indifference there).
Some teams prefer a buildup strategy; they will make short safe passes between the halves and backs to draw the forwards out, then slowly move forward gaining territory until they get a chance to strike into the 25 metre area and the circle.
Others will exploit the basic drawing, then throw a quick aerial into a gap far up the field and get a teammate to catch it, then make an attack from there.
Others use quick close passing to move the ball between and through opponents, dazzling them and moving so quick there is no way to tackle or get a cohesive defense organised.
Some will combine these tactics as to whichever is most appropriate at the time.
Because being hit on the shin by a ball or stick without them is extremely painful (and might give you a major injury as well).
It will probably be OK, but if you are a serious field hockey player, you would not use an indoor stick on the turf nor use your turf stick indoors.
It is not OK to use an indoor stick outside. When you want to shoot the ball you might break your stick because it is too thin.
It is ok cuz there isn't much difference between them.
Constance Applebee.
She was the one who brought it to the US.
However, Field hockey was not widely played until she came in 1901.
Unfortunately for you, that describes pretty much anyone at a decent level; even some goalkeepers can prefer such sticks for the weight and balance they have. Visit your local store and ask to try them out - some allow "test driving" and others hold showdays of their products.
