Divide the area of the windows by the area of the sheets. Note: 3x5 and 2x4 are not areas, they are numbers. And you don't say how big the sheets are, so it is difficult to be helpful.

Assuming you mean 12 square foot tiles and this is going to be a perfect fit:

You need to find the area: A = w * h = 6 * 8 = 48 sq ft

Divide the area (A) by the area of the tiles: 48 sq ft / 12 sq ft = 4

The answer is four tiles.

You should be able to get a good quality urethane / epoxy floor for about $10 per square foot, depending on the product you select and your location.

To cover 345 square feet with 16x16 tiles , you need at least 195 tiles (194 and 1/16 exactly).

345 square feet x 144 square inches/sq ft = 49680 square inches

16 x 16 = 256 square inches per tile

49680 / 256 = 194.0625

It could take more because you may have to use large fractional tiles on edges, and some may break.

You only need two coats unless you have a big dog or small children then you would need 3 just to protect the wood even more

That is a very complex question. 1. What is the substrate it's getting fixed to? 2. How well of a job do you want done, e.g. professional job including grout sealing, is an admix being used so the thin-set will move with the wall when temperature changes occur, which will also help with moisture penetration, and they will, or are you using a latex premix. 2. If you want a totally water proof install, your going to have to use water proof adhesives and grout, not water resistant. Is the wall greenboard, or concrete board, and if so, is it caulked and screwed to the studs? 3. You can expect to pay a fairly good standard of about .50 cents a square foot. However, get it in writing as to every detail that the installer is going to perform, materials used, and do they guarantee and warranty their work. Lastly, any good installer should have a history that can be shown as to the quality of the job. You can buy expensive and costly tile, and have it ruined by a shoddy installer. Good Luck!

telling what you want installed, the more detail you can give the better the quote will be... ie..

"3/4 inch, unfinished oak hardwood over wood subfloor,

new construction, 400 sq feet, need it done this week, paying cash.".

The lesson here is that the more detail you put in the ad, the better the quote.. You will have to understand that not every installer has Golden Hands, some are thieves & butchers, so you may not always want the low bidder..

No. 56 square feet will not cover half of it. 10 by 12 is 120 square feet. You will need just over 2 boxes.

I do not think that is a good idea.The rubber flooring should be removed and then new ceramic flooring should be laid on.

I would definitely recommend against this. While laminate can be installed on top of tile, it requires that the floor is level and even. So, if your slate is rough and uneven, it is not a good subfloor to install any hard surface. If you install the laminate directly on top of an uneven floor like this, it will most likely crack and move a lot when you are walking on it.

However, an alternative (albeit an expensive one), is to add self leveling cement on top of the slate and level out the floor, and then you could install the laminate on top. This might be less expensive and less difficult vs. trying to remove the slate, but it is not a cheap option.

The simplest answer - $524.28 - is wrong, because it counts only the EXACT square yardage of your room (75.1) - when, in fact, carpet doesn't come in such neat dimensions. If you used exactly every little scrap, spliced and seamed to fit (lots of seams), you could do it. Unrealistic.

Carpet generally comes in either 12' wide or 15' wide rolls. Either way, ironically, the best fit with either 12' or 15' wide goods comes to about 87 square yards. That's $607.26. If you use 12' wide goods, you'll have two seams the full length of the room, and a short seam in the middle along one wall, and a leftover scrap 8' x 13' (about 11.5 SY waste). Add to that the cost of padding, tack strip (if needed new), transition strips in doorways, and labor to install everything. If you need the old carpet removed or furniture moved, that costs more, too.

Two tiles of size 12 ft x 12 ft will cover 288 square feet and so should be sufficient.

It depends on tile quality, installer experience, area, country and city where you live. For example in BC (Canada) $4-17 per sq.f

I assume you mean 12" x 12". That's a square foot, so 105 tiles cover 105 square feet.
