Keeping hydrated for the race is also important-so drivers don't feel faint or sick during the race.

Pasta is a good choice of food.

The 2009 driver's world championship was won by Jenson Button driving for the Brawn GP Team. He won a total of 6 races that season. The 2009 constructor's title was won by the Brawn GP team. Their cars won a total of 8 races that season (6 by Button and 2 by his teammate Rubens Barrichello)

Because Porsche wants its race cars to look like their street cars. It costs too much to run Formula 1 and Porsche never did well in it. According to Wikipedia, cars made by Porsche or engined by Porsche have won over 28,000 races in all forms of motorsport. Of those 28,000 races, only two of them were Formula 1 races - and one of those was a non-points race.

The Ferrari F1 has a 7 speed transmission. Formula 1 race cars have either 6 or 7 speed transmissions. The choice of fitting 6 or 7 forward ratios is provided for in some of the gearboxes, notably Benetton and Jordan. The decision on how many to actually fit for a given event, is mainly a function of matching engine characteristics to the circuit and the driver's preferred style.

If there is a tie, the driver that has won the most races in the year is named the champion.

If there is a tie for number of wins, the driver with the most second place finishes is named the champion.

If there is a tie for wins and number of second place finishes, the driver with the most third place finishes is named the champion.

The tie breaker rules work their way down the finishing order until the tie is broken.

Going into the final race of the 2010 F1 season, Fernando Alonzo has 5 wins and 246 points, Mark Webber has 4 wins and 238 points, and Sebastian Vettel has 4 wins and 231 points. Incredibly, it is possible that all three drivers could be tied after the final race in Abu Dhabi.

For example ...

If Alonzo finishes 5th and gets 10 points, Webber finishes 2nd and gets 18 points, and Vettel wins and gets 25 points, all three drivers would end the season with 256 points.

The first tie breaker would be number of wins. Alonzo and Vettel would have 5 wins and Webber would have 4 wins so Webber would be eliminated and Alonzo and Vettel would still be tied.

The second tie breaker would be number of second place finishes. Alonzo and Vettel both would have 2 second place finishes so they would still be tied.

The third tie breaker would be number of third place finishes. Alonzo and Vettel would both have 3 third place finishes so they would still be tied.

The fourth tie breaker would be number of fourth place finishes. Alonzo would have 2 fourth place finishes and Vettel would have 3 fourth place finishes. Alonzo would be eliminated and Vettel would be named world champion.

It's theoretically possible, but no wheel driven car has yet done this. 403.10 MPH is the current record, and that was established in 1964. The ThrustSSC, which is turbofan powered and thrust propelled, holds the current land speed record at 760.343 MPH over a distance of one kilometer and 763.035 MPH over a distance of one mile.

To become a formular 1 racer: the first thing you can do is to start goin go-karting every now and then and if you enjoy this you can try to start woking on a formular 1 race track even if its only giving out tickets or cleaning cars. Try to hang out with the race car drives and ask them lots of questions about racing. Then try and go to a racing school for about 3 days. this will look good to other drives. when ever you can get behind the wheel of a car, even if its only a street car. your boss should see what you can do. Michael Schumacher has won the most number of F1 races. He was an active racer for 16 yrs (1991 to 2006). He has started a total of 248 races and won a total of 91 out of them. This is the most by an individual driver in terms of victories. Also he has 7 world championships. ( 1994, 95 & 2000 to 2004) Apart from this he has 154 podium finishes, 68 pole positions and 76 fastest laps in his career.

The first Formula 1 World Championship was held in 1950and it consisted of seven races ( British, Monaco, Indianapolis 500, Swiss, Belgian, French and Italian).

2002 was the first year that Toyota Racing had its own formula one team so, 2002 would be the year that Toyota built its formula 1 car by itself. They competed in 140 races before winding up their formula one team in 2009. Toyota F1 team never won a race or any championships. But, they managed to finish on the podium 13 times and were one of the strong mid-field teams in f1.

The cars are constructed from composites of carbon fibre and similar ultra-lightweight (and expensive to manufacture) materials. The minimum weight permissible is 605 kg (1334 lb) including the driver, fluids and on-board cameras. However, all F1 cars weigh significantly less than this (some as little as 440 kg ) so teams add ballast to the cars to bring them up to the minimum legal weight. The advantage of using ballast is that it can be placed anywhere in the car to provide ideal weight distribution.
