I was just looking for that answer myself because I want to sell the one I have. At one site someone posted (on Apr 22, 2011) that Harley anythings are great collectibles, and says that these dolls were worth about $100 then.

One source indicates the retail value is $300.

The best bet is to scour the web and look at eBay, craig's list and those vendors who specialize in this kind of thing (there are a number of them). There are boards where you can actually put up a want ad (eBay among them), and you would be advised to go post one. The sets come and go, and you might have to mount a bit of a protracted search to find just the board, particularly in light of the way the sets were issued. As the board was sent along with the last two pieces of the set to those making the purchase, it is doubtful that you'll be able to find the board alone. The probability that someone with a complete set will part with the board is quite low, unless you offer an outrageous sum or simply buy the whole set, board and all, which may defeat your purpose.

i have a porcelain plate from Franklin porcelain and would like to know app. value, do i need to insure??

Presumably you refer to the bronze medallions designed and produced by 13 year old Daniel Hendy to help assist the farming families effected by the 2001 British "Foot and Mouth" outbreak.

The medallions were originally sold for £6 GBP each, a total quantity of 1,000 medallions.

There appears to be no information available on these medallions, but since there were only 1,000 made, I suggest that they are collectible and have some value beyond their purchase price.

A reputable coin dealer may be able to give a valuation.

Anything faberge piece marked "Franklin Mint" is only worth about 1/2 of what you paid for it........

My Mom had bought the sculpture the year it came out for $200 Canadian. It is a part of a series of horses from the Black Beauty novel by Anna Sewell. Whether by itself or as a part of the series it was expected to increase in value over the years. At the very least it is worth the $200. We still have our sculpture and love it. If you have it enjoy it - it's lovely.

One way to be search the completed listings for "Franklin Mint" dolls, this is on the advanced search of Ebay. Having said that I've just ran a search of Google which has provided some results.

1000 grams sterling is currently worth about $415 ... 1000 grains sterling is worth about $27

You could get 1000 online, but for the right buyer $40,000 is more appropriate.

I do not believe this is correct . . .

First I know the bars are actually 5.2 ounces, but more importantly, 2500 grain means that these are not FINE silver. So these 5.2 oz bars are prob only about 85%-90% silver.

THEN refineries would charge 15% - 20% to make fine silver bars.

There were two collections. One from the Sunoco Stations that were collected individually, every time someone purchased gasoline. Then there was the bronze set, which a person won, based on a winning coin from the station. Bronze is worth around $30+ because of its rarity. The other isn't worth anything, unless a person is a collector. I saw it on-line for sale at $30-good luck!

E bay is selling set of 6 for $150 I have the first 13 but gave up after that...I guess 12 is worth $300...no where near what I paid for them!!

Not much I'm afraid. You can purchase them from a dealer or on eBay for about $2 per cover or even less. They have almost no real gold, such a thin layer that it would take thousands of them to get a measurable amount.

Actually, it could be worth more than that. Check the reverse and it may say something like: "22k gold electroplated on sterling silver" or "24k gold electroplated on sterling silver".

Each of these can stamps weigh anywhere from 5 grams to 20 grams of 92.5% by mass of silver. So, do you calculation and could easily add up, a 20 grams stamp is about $21 at current silver prices ($35.45/oz)
