From the first series of Fullmetal Alchemist (not Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) there is a movie called Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa. Edward is in Munich, Germany (our world) while Alphonse is in Amestris (their world) and eventually they come to meet again.
Throughout the series, neither the manga or anime reveal whether or not Edward likes Winry. Though it is speculated that he does, by his actions and words towards her, it is likely that he does not. Early in the series, Edward is accused that he does like Winry and he violently denies it - as though embarrassed that it's true. Also in the beginning, he notes that Winry is cute but soon changes his mind when she throws a wrench at his head. Fanart and fanfiction often portrays a strange romance between the two, but there was no intended romance between Edward or Winry originally in the manga or anime.

Actually, in the manga, it is forshadowed that BOTH Winry and Edward do like each other. Though it is not directly stated, the chemistry is OBVIOUSLY there. At the end of the manga, Ed proposes in the funniest, yet romantic way ever, and Winry's answer is almost as hilarious.

I suggest you watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood first. It is better to understand the basics of the story first than to suddenly jump on the movie. Otherwise you will get confused by the many characters and the terms in the movie. But, if you have watched Fullmetal Alchemist (the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, it has a big difference with Brotherhood but the basics of the story are the same) you should just go for the movie, since you are already familiar with the characters and terms.

Yes, Edward Elric does survive until the very end of the episode of the first Fullmetal Alchemist series. Unfortunately, Edward did not regain his arm and leg, because instead of regaining his body (even though he could pull Al's body out of the gate) he was transferred from Amestris to Earth. This happened as a result of the equivalent exchange law in alchemy. In order to regain Al's body, Edward was transferred to Earth while Al forgot all his memory/experience while his soul was in the suit of armor.

I don't think it says exactly. You could take a guess by considering the timeline of events in their lives. Edward was eleven and Alphonse was ten when they attempted human transmutation but before that they spent nearly a year with their teacher and they lived with their mother for awhile even before that..
My guess would be that Edward was about 9 which would mean Alphonse was 8.
