The Gangster Disciples are a gang that is under the Folk Nation. They started in Chicago Illinois in the 1960's. Their Main rivals are gangs under the People Nation like the Almighty Latin King & Queen Nation, Almighty Vice Lord Nation, Almighty Black P. Stone Nation just to name a few. Gangster Disciples wear the colors Black & Gray, they used to wear blue but stopped cause they don't wanna be confused with Crips since they have nothing to do with each other.

Just like modern day gangs, they were largely involved in the illegal alcohol trade. they would also often take advantage of businesses charging fees them for protection and operating on their turf (the Italian Mafia owned a large variety of restaurants and stores, and the ones they didn't own they bullied into paying them). Allot of crime families even went into legit business while still working underground. Sometimes they would even associate with and corrupt the people in government positions to ensure safety from getting caught. With mafia in control of the law they could press down on rival mafias with continuous raids and the shutting down of businesses for no reason at all. With such a wide span of influence the mafia had, it was impossible for them not to make money. If something failed they had 10 other things to fall back on.

They commited crimes like: bootlegging, prostitution, robber, smuggling, and etc.

1. about 5 of the gang members all beat the crap out of you.

2. they throw 6 pennies on the ground and a few of the gang members punch the crap out of you until you collect all 6.

3. have sex with a male or female that has STDs (but you do not catch it).

4.drive by shooting

5. getting hit above the heart really hard (some times killing most gang members)

A teenager may join a gang in the 60's for many different reasons. They may just want to be popular or might have some rough patches going on. It's possible they have family problems, join for a sense of security, or feel they can take their anger out on violence. Hope this helped :)

There are several different reasons: punishment, revenge, deterrent or persuasion, to serve as an example. Probably many other reasons, but I think most will fit one of these catetories.

If gang A has offended gang B (for virtually any reason: infringing on their turf, committing crimes without paying "tax", or an any small act of disrespect), gang B may well respond violently. This violent response could be lethal or non-lethal. If lethal option is taken, it could be a drive by shooting or some kind of ambush. In executing this plan, they may well kill an innocent person as an unintentional by-product... collateral damage. Then gang B may well respond by killing somebody in gang A. It often becomes basically a mountain man "Hatfield and McCoys" type feud, with no end in sight.

Another reason could be for a member being a traitor or a snitch. Somebody may want to leave the gang, and if so, they can no longer be trusted, so that straying gang member may well be killed.

Because they feel a sense of security being surrounded by big tough guys with guns. Then they become addicted to everything they do, when they realize what they're doing is wrong, its to late and they're to scared to quit because now the rest of the gang is ready to shoot them if they quit.
