Ghost Whisperer

Well, I never would have thought a leading character would die in Ghost Whisper, especially not this early into the season. The answer my folks to this question is Jim Clancy. He indeed passes away. The episode is about a boy who doesn't cross over until his childhood friend doesn't put an end to her marriage. She confronts the man who has been lying to her for years and later that night we see him back at the lodge room with a rifle. Jim is picking up the wedding chairs at the lodge when he sees the lights turn on. He enters and confronts the man. The boy goes to Melinda and tells her that the man is acting strange and does not want to see anyone get hurt. Melinda then calls Jim, but he never picks up. She calls the detective and she tells him to meet her there. The man and Jim have a fight when the detective fires a shot only to shoot Jim. He seemed fine, but is in surgery. The surgery was to be completed 40 minutes ago as it seemed, but when the doctor comes out and says it was successful, Melinda is happy. The boy and his childhood friend, Trish and her daughter show up, he eventually crosses over. Melinda visits him. She finds him, but as a ghost. She breaks sown and repeats over and over, please not you. An embolism kills Jim. The episode ends as the doctors are trying to stabilize him with the heart monitor eventually failing and the episode fades. In the promo for next week, they show Melinda has lost the love of her life. She tells him if he wants to make her happy, he must cross over. Jim says he is right here and not going anywhere.

The original episode aired on 4/24/2009 and was titled "Stage Fright". She had played an extra in a part that was being filmed at her shop and had her hand hurt when a camera came crashing onto her. Jim went with her to have it checked out and x-rayed at the end and they asked if there was a chance she might be pregnant, then the scene cut to the ultrasound where it showed their little baby growing... :)

She was driving a car toward the end of season 1 when an airplane crashed killing everyone onboard and a few people in cars on the ground. In "The One" a plane crashes and Andrea notices Melinda is hiding something. She believes that her brother Mitch had died during the plane crash and that Melinda is seeing his ghost.At the end of season one it was revealed that it was Andrea who had died during the crash and not Mitch. While Andrea was not on the plane she died because her car had been on the path that the plane had crashed on.

People as a rule don't go looking for ghosts. If you are intended to see one a ghost will find you.

However if what you're really asking is how do you find or "see" a ghost that you are currently experiencing or are sharing "space" with, that is a different thing entirely.

I do not recommend you dabble in this if you have no previous experience.

Melinda was possessed or "taken over" by the shadows. So her son has to assemble all of the shinies together to get the shadows out of her and save her.

Well, usually in other countries, it takes a lot longer for seasons to air. Season 2 was aired from 9/22/2006-5/11/2007, so I'm guessing late 2007-2009 (at the latest). Maybe it's on hold due to the writer's strike...Maybe.

Jim did die in the episode Imaginary Friends and Enemies but then he steals a body from something and he lived and Melinda and him got married again and had a 2 kids(well 1 kid the first miscarried). So the answer is pretty much yes and no.
