A lot of people in the world believe in ghosts, but not everyone, and you don't have to at all. Many people fear ghosts (if seen) before even trying to communicate with them (their whispers can be very confusing and many people find it hard to understand them.) So (point is) it's your decision, if they exist or not because they could be hallucinations or they could be real. If you believe in them you do, if you don't you don't. The decision is yours.

Most people believed in ghosts so long ago so they could have an explaination for anything they didn't understand. When people couldn't explain anything strange or unsual they would say it was due to the presence of a spirit or the soul of a deceased friend/family member.
