Yes, because my dad used a GPS while traveling from Florida to New Jersey in a car

NO! GPS And satellite radio are two different things. They cannot share an antenna.

GPS and Radio are on 2 different frequencies GPS, GPS travels on a L1 Frequency

up to 1575 MHz while radio is on BANDS, Like Sirius is on S band which holds DATA

and Sound unlike GPS which holds DATA Only. So an Antenna that's on a car

cannot receive both, the technology IS out there, but ONLY on NEW cars 2007

and UP

:Bailors

Of course they can. Any two receivers can share any one antenna. But depending on

the frequencies that each of them is trying to receive, and on the antenna input circuit

of connecting both receivers to it, the number of receivers that deliver acceptable

performance may be both, or one, or neither.

Hack a nextar gps system?

this actually works at least for my nextar m3-01 model

1)connect the gps to PC with Microsoft ActiveSync

2)back up and edit the auto run file found in resident flash to read (WINDOWS\windowsexplorer.exe) doing this will make the gps run windows ce 5

3)Once windows is running windows instead of the gps program that comes installed which by the way you can still access from windows, you can now also run other programs like video players, games and such.

your wellcome

P.S now if i could just find someone to hook me up with a sdhc patch for memry card 4gb and up for this thing I'd be set.

PPS. For Nextar Q4-06 (Windows CE Core 5.0) the file name is just 'explorer' so my \ResidentFlash\autorun.inf file reads 'WINDOWS\explorer.exe'. I was able to edit it by:

1) Connect with ActiveSync

2) Copy & Paste \ResidentFlash\autorun.inf from the Nextar Device to my computer

3) Edit the copied autorun.inf file with Notebook to read 'WINDOWS\explorer.exe' (no quotes).

4) Rename the original \ResidentFlash\autorun.inf on the Nextar Device to \ResidentFlash\0autorun.inf

5) Copy & Paste the edited autorun.inf file from my computer back to the Nextar device (as \ResidentFlash\autorun.inf).

6) Disconnect the Nextar, flip the rear switch to off/reset, then back on.

7) My GPS file can be run as MyDevice-> \ResidentFlash\DShell\DShell.exe
