Well the maximum number of clubs allowed in a players' bag is 14 so nearly all amateurs take full advantage of this.

A good set up depends on the player and what you like,

Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 3-PW, SW, LW and Putter. This would be good for a longer course, but if you played a shorter course you may want to replace the 5 wood or 3 iron with a Gap Wedge. Also, some players struggle hitting 3 and even 4 irons, so may replace them with hybrid or rescue clubs. A 5 wood plays around 18-19 degrees, so you could get a rescue or hybrid at that loft and add an extra wedge as well.

Depending on manufacturer your average name brand iron set degree of loft is as follows;

3 iron 21* of loft { The higher the # the higher the ball goes

4 iron 24 *{ The lower the # the further the ball goes

5 ----27 { * represents degree }

6-----30 *

7-----33 *

8-----37 *

9-----41 *

pw=pitching wedge any where from 45* to 48*

You go get sized. Everything from you swing path, height, stance, etc will affect the clubs you need. Callaway have a great system for analyzing what clubs you should have. This includes the face size, weight, shaft length, head angle, everything you need to know. Some bigger golf stores have similar systems, but they are very accurate. It may cost some money to be fitted, but usually they take that out of the cost of the clubs. Good luck.

As a general rule, women's clubs are shorter, lighter, and have more flexible shafts then men's clubs. Sometimes the color of the grips (powder blue, etc.) or the model name (Annika Sorenstam, etc.) may give it away. However, anyone can have clubs custom made to any length, weight and shaft flex so the general rule is just that...general.

This must be a custom club, hardly anywhere i would imagine because it would go virtually straight up in the air.

I don't want to be rude, but they are not the best golf clubs on the market. They are a clothing brand which is expnading into cricket bats and now it would seem golf clubs. I saw what was probably a 3/4 set, for the money they looked like an absolutely perfect set for a beginner. If someone was starting the game, this would be the perfect purchase for them, to maybe do them a couple of years.

That's a good question, especially if you think you might want to sell putters. I purchased a market report - not worth the money - and I did a little sleuthing. At the end of the day it is just a WAG, so here's mine: There are 4 million putters sold via all retail outlets worldwide.

In match play, two players (or two teams) play each hole as a separate contest against each other. The party with the lower score wins that hole, or if the scores of both players or teams are equal the hole is "halved" (drawn). The game is won by the party that wins more holes than the other.

A chipper is a low loft club, usually with quite a short shaft. Just take a longer putter swing, carry the ball a short distance and allow it to roll along the ground to the hole.

There's no real rule. There is a traditional standard that a hole from 260-475 yards should be a par 4. Less would be a 3, more would be a 5.

None of this is too traditional because the whole concept of par is relatively new.

Golf balls are not talked of in terms of being forgiving. If you are a higher handicap player you would probably want a distance ball, but if you have a high swing speed you should get a spin ball. Try a few and see what works for.

The PGA Tour bans any kind of device that can measure the yardage or wind or anything in that nature. The only time that a player/caddie can use such a device would be during a Pro/Am or other event that does not earn them money directly and the PGA Tour as authorized it which is almost never. If someone is caught using one of these devices they will be disqualified.

Note: Jerry Rice was in a Nationwide Tour event and was disqualified after his caddie used a range finder to find a yardage.

There is no guideline price as such for something like this. You could try eBay or a sports memoribilia auction to gauge how much it could go for. It will clearly be quite a desirable item.
