For it to be a recognised hole in one, it must be in an official competition, and you will need to complete 18 holes.

However, if you go out and played 9 holes with your friends and have a hole in one, it still counts, you still had a hole in one.

It all depends, and without knowing your game I could not tell you the best for you, however I will share a few tips with you.

One factor which is key, is the type of ground that your play on. If you play on a links course where the ground is hard and crusty a low bounce club is ideal as it will slide under the ball, if you used a high bounce club the club would bounce up too soon, and you could thin your shot. If you play on a course which is often soaked by rain, then a high bounce club is ideal, as a low bounce club would dig too easily causing a chunk.

It also depends how much sand is in the bunkers you play. If you play on a course with little sand in the bunkers, a low bounce club will allow you to slide under the ball and get it up quickly, a high bounce club will hit the bottom of the bunker and you will most likely thin your shot. If there is a lot of sand in the bunkers, a high bounce club is ideal as a low bounce club would dig too easily and you could end up leaving your ball in the bunker.

I have a 56 degree sand wedge with 10 degrees of bounce, and a 60 degree lob wedge with 4 degrees of bounce. I have this because I like to play flop shots and feel I can easily get under the ball to get elevation. The 60 degree with 4 degrees of bounce is not ideal from a fluffy lie in the rough because it will go straight under the ball, that is one of the reasons I have 10 degrees of bounce on my 56, so if I do come across that situation, I can hit a controlled shot with the 56 rather than take my chances with the 60.

If you are not a golfer, avoid at all cost any kind of silly or goofy golf-theme gifts. These are useless and a waste of money. Unless you know the golfer and his unique needs, for example, what kind of golf ball does he play with, it's usually best to treat the golfer to a gift certificate from a good pro shop. You can't go wrong.

Well the maximum number of clubs allowed in a players' bag is 14 so nearly all amateurs take full advantage of this.

A good set up depends on the player and what you like,

Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 3-PW, SW, LW and Putter. This would be good for a longer course, but if you played a shorter course you may want to replace the 5 wood or 3 iron with a Gap Wedge. Also, some players struggle hitting 3 and even 4 irons, so may replace them with hybrid or rescue clubs. A 5 wood plays around 18-19 degrees, so you could get a rescue or hybrid at that loft and add an extra wedge as well.

You go get sized. Everything from you swing path, height, stance, etc will affect the clubs you need. Callaway have a great system for analyzing what clubs you should have. This includes the face size, weight, shaft length, head angle, everything you need to know. Some bigger golf stores have similar systems, but they are very accurate. It may cost some money to be fitted, but usually they take that out of the cost of the clubs. Good luck.

As a general rule, women's clubs are shorter, lighter, and have more flexible shafts then men's clubs. Sometimes the color of the grips (powder blue, etc.) or the model name (Annika Sorenstam, etc.) may give it away. However, anyone can have clubs custom made to any length, weight and shaft flex so the general rule is just that...general.

This must be a custom club, hardly anywhere i would imagine because it would go virtually straight up in the air.

I don't want to be rude, but they are not the best golf clubs on the market. They are a clothing brand which is expnading into cricket bats and now it would seem golf clubs. I saw what was probably a 3/4 set, for the money they looked like an absolutely perfect set for a beginner. If someone was starting the game, this would be the perfect purchase for them, to maybe do them a couple of years.

There's no real rule. There is a traditional standard that a hole from 260-475 yards should be a par 4. Less would be a 3, more would be a 5.

None of this is too traditional because the whole concept of par is relatively new.
