Which does not belong asparagus lettuce grapes onions?
Grapes are the only fruit, that's true...
However, onions are the only thing from which parts that grow under ground are commonly eaten; the other three are only commonly eaten from their parts that are above ground.
Also, lettuce is the only word that does not end in "s"--but sounds like it does (or has a vowel as the second letter); and asparagus is the only word that has more than two syllables.
For a "best answer" (meaning the answer with the least thinking associated), I would choose grapes. However, any item from the list can be justly described as "does not belong" with the others--depending on how much thinking one does.

How do you prune and tie Thompson grapes?
when? all depends if you mean to keep them and eat them or rid them.
if you want to harvest some then usually Grapes generally mature from late August to late October depending on what variety, however it doesnt hurt to keep trying one for sweetness and ripeness, if you have green ones they become sort of see through or more lighter.
if you mean prune as in cutback then you can do this anytime but preferbaly before it gets too cold or the unpicked grapes will rot and turn white and it gets a bit horrid.
leaves can be left to mostly fall off and collected up in jan-feb early march.
