Nvidia is the best one for high end graphics cards. de 8800 Ultra is stillt he fastest stand alone graphics card. But the 3870X2 is fast too, tough it is 2 graphics cards in one. 8800GT is a very good card to go with, or even sli 8800gt is faster than 3870X2 or 8800 Ultra. On High end Nvidia Rules, on mid-high end also Nvidia, on Mid end Ati and low end is ati and nvidia.

To ensure compatibility, check the manufacturer's website for driver downloads. If they specify that the driver for the device is compatible with Windows 2000, then that means the graphics card should work.

Neither Linux nor the X Server (Xorg) have built-in drivers, due to the proprietary nature of the card. However, ATI / AMD does make proprietary drivers available for download (link available below).

The graphics are integrated into the mother board. You can still install one which I highly recommend because you will get way better performance.

I tried it on mine and it did not work. Though, there should be many hd cards out there that will work. The emachines representative said the bios has a problem with this particular card but didn't care to mention a card that will work.

I know I can not change the Vedio on the mother board I have a chip set and there is nothing I can UN grade BUT I have been told by many people I CAN buy an external video card with MEM and plug it into my USB post it will over ride the internal one and run fine THEY also tell me that some of them do not need an external moniter so whats the best one out there

That depends on the graphics card. They are standardized to the point they all fit inside a computer, but there are differences on the sizes.

If you have a dedicated graphics card slot on your motherboard (the circuit board as other peeps call it) you can insert your discrete video card in (there are many videos on how to install video cards into AGP or PCI slots) and then install the drivers either from the internet or the ones that came with the box. Finally, hook up your monitor onto whatever port you use and your computer should identify it as a graphics card.

Depending on the Hardware, System software, and BIOS, you may be able to install the new video card and it will be automatically used instead of the integrated version. In my opinion, the GeForce2 MX is better. I haven't actually looked up the specs but since NVIDIA is a graphics company, I'd say that their MX is better than Intel's integrated graphics.

Unfortunatlly there is no "quick" fix to this... The game requires your computer to perform at a certain level, and your graphics card doesn't support this, and software can't make your graphics card much better. Therefore, your only options are: 1. Simply don't play the game. 2. Open the README file and check the minimum requirements, then buy a graphics card that betters those requirements.
