Before they were listed as Endangered Species, turtle fishery was very popular in the Carribbean and caused sea turtle populations to plummet significantly. This destruction of the reefs occurs mainly because of pollution in the water and ships that hit the reef.

What animals eat green sea turtles?
The answer depends on the age of the sea turtles in question, and the type of turtle, native area, etc. We know that certain types of sharks will attack and eat certain types of sea turtles, commonly loggerheads for the extended periods of time spent at the water's surface (to breathe), where they are more oblivious to the ominous presence the sharks lurking below them. The babies are generally more threatened by other creatures, though, which is part of the reason why so few survive to adulthood. Crabs and seabirds will eat baby sea turtles before they even make it into the surf. Once they're there, it's not like in Finding Nemo: baby turtles fend for themselves. They do not have parents to look after them, so at their small size, they're frequently eaten by other fish/crustaceans in the water.
But sadly, I think that a sea turtle's least favorite animal (and very rightly so) is the insipid, malevolent human. People eat sea turtles that they obtain as hatchlings, juveniles, adults, and eggs in farms (both legal and illegal), controversial hunting where legal, and of course illegal poaching. We also kill them with our garbage. Big culprits of inadvertent sea turtle casualties caused by humans include plastic bags (which sea turtles, most of whom have relatively poor eyesight, mistake for jellyfish and therefore ingest) and those plastic six-pack rings that come on soda cans, which turtles frequently eat or in which they become ensnared. A juvenile who becomes enmeshed in a six-pack ring will not be able to grow proportionately as the ring will often refuse to abrade. Electric lights also kill hatchlings, who often emerge from their eggs at night and instinctively follow the moon (or any baleful skyline masquerading as the moon, for that matter) toward the sea (or, if they follow artificial lights, they could end up in streets and other places that are unnatural and pernicious to them).
Hope this helps!
Why do people kill green sea turtles for their blood and meat?
We (people) constantly pollute the ocean. The ocean over time is turning to acid. The destruction of the ocean causes the green sea turtle as well as all life in the ocean to die. Also, sea life is the oceans filter and as a result of constantly diminishing sea life and the constant rate at which we pollute the ocean is causing the ocean to turn to acid at a much higher rate than ever before.
(reefannie)
Acidification is not the only problem for green sea turtles. The biggest problem is marine debris, which kills hundreds of turtles globally. Nets, fishing lines, and injested hooks are just a few. Also fibropapillomatosis, a herpes based virus, has infected many hundreds of greens in many locations. Most researchers believe this virus comes from toxins in the runoffs affecting the seaweed that greens eat. Yet another problem is the injestion of cigarette butts, which have all those destructive chemicals, thrown on beaches and ending up in their grazing areas.

Who is the Green Sea Turtles prey?
Because of their size and mobility in the water they have only two predators - sharks and humans. Near their nesting grounds in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, where tiger sharks are more plentiful, adult male and female turtles can often be seen crawling up on the beaches and laying motionless in the sun for hours. This phenomenon known as basking is believed to help the turtles avoid predation by tiger sharks and also serves to increase their body temperature and speed up their metabolism. Hawaii's population of green sea turtles is listed as threatened under the federal Endangered Species Act.
What are green sea turtles prey?
