A cluster of houses and other buildings smaller than a village.

The play The Murder of Gonzago had a plot quite similar to the account the Ghost had given of the murder of Hamlet Sr. With a few tweaks, it was so similar that it reminded Claudius of his murder which was what Hamlet intended.

I believe that he is speaking about Hamlet Senior and his recent death, that it is fresh.

Clearly he believes that Laertes cannot be trusted. And this seems fair, since certainly Polonius cannot be trusted.

Our English teacher gave us this definition: Characters whose traits are emphasized via contrast with the other, but who also share a connection. The example he showed us was Harry Potter and Voldemort; they have such different characteristics, yet are always put together somehow.

Ophelia goes mad, and in her madness she is brought to the Queen where she begins singing songs that appear to be senseless. However, if you consider her words carefully, you will notice that she is revealing some secrets of her story. We learn what went on between her and Hamlet and that she had lain with him. If you go over Act IV, scene v , you will see what I mean.

Horatio is Hamlet's most trusted friend. Hamlet tells him everything about the ghost that he saw and the plans for revenge that he has against Claudius. Laertes is also one of Hamlet's friends but they fight during the play because of what Hamlet did to Ophelia and because Hamlet killed Polonius.

It means that Romeo was played by fortune, as his killing of Tybalt out of defense, was the cause of him being exiled.

That's a matter of opinion. Comparing the amount written about the two plays, people find Hamlet more interesting to discuss.

Hamlet Sr. was married to Gertrude. Hamlet Jr. did not marry although he did love Ophelia.

He gets into a fight with her brother Laertes, falls into her grave, and steps all over her dead body. Not a pretty sight.

So think thou wilt no second husband wed - So you think you will not marry a second husband

But die thy thoughts when thy first lord is dead? - But that thought dies when your first husband dies?

The conscience makes cowards of us all simply because we think about what may happen due of our actions, hence we are scared to face what may come after death since all man is scared of the unknown.

Based upon act 2, Claudius has a deep passion for him and awakens in the night to bring him wine.

Well, a lot of people: Hamlet, Claudius, Gertrude, and Laertes.

He shows them a love-letter Hamlet wrote to Ophelia.

yes the ghost was in fact real; at the beginning of the play Horatio, Marcellus and Bernardo see it.

however my class today was having a discussion on the vocal manifestation of the ghost - we speculated that the voice of the ghost may be in Hamlet's imagination, if you notice no one BUT Hamlet responds directly to its voice, when the ghost beseech Marcellus and Horatio 'Swear it' they do not react but reply to Hamlet who simply repeats the ghost. parallels are also drawn between the ghost and Hamlet eg. where Ophelia say Hamlet came into her room looking pale and 'as if he had been loosed out of hell' which is where the ghost is believed to have come from. this brings me to another point, back in the day those bunch were very religious, there is a passage in the bible (don't remember where off the top of my head) that says for a vision or some such thing (in this case the voice of the ghost) to have undeniable legitimacy more than one must be present, another passage says that visions of men with open eyes are false and of something evil - historically this is a valid point.
