Hamsters are simple to look after. the must is a cage, make sure it is a decent size, also you must have a water bottle. i suggest a running wheel, and exercise ball and wooden toys to keep teeth blunt. for the cage you need news paper and sawdust, beds can be wooden boxes or you could buy one.kitchen roll tubes are great toys too. obviously you need food, but that's cheep!

The animal needs to see a vet, so get an adult to arrange this for you. Try to avoid handling it and possibly separate it from the others to try and keep it still.

The product description does say it works for dwarf hamsters, so I would assume yes. The dimensions are 38cm L x 58cm W x 38.5cm H, so if you believe that is enough space for your dwarf hamsters, I would say yes, they can.

Yes they can. To prevent that from occurring never house a hamster in a cage that has wire floors, and keep the cage clean and dry.

Yes, wet tail is diarrhea. It can be especially severe in hamsters, and it will make their bottoms stay wet with liquidy waste. That is why it is referred to as wet tail. You will need to treat it quickly. They sell drops at most pet stores that you can either deliver orally, or add to their water. If left untreated, it can be fatal due to dehydration issues.

im gonna take a wild guess and say NO. chocolate is never good for pets.. ever. not dogs, not cats, not chinchilla lol. it probably wont be fatal to your hamster (assuming you have one), but i strongly doubt it will be good for it. i mean if you think about it, chocolate isn't even good for humans!

why don't you check it out. Buy a dwarf hamster and feed it salted peanuts. Because honestly this is the only answer your gonna get, I don't think anyone else has tried.

when your hamster eats to much it could not actually be eating the food it could be hiding it somewhere in the cage

but if your hamster is eating to much you should try removing the food bowl for a day or two but nothing happens when your hamster eats to much it just gets chubby.

Roughly the same way we do. The female needs to mate (copulate) with a male hamster. To do this, put the male and female in a box together. Watch carefully and separate them if they start fighting. They will fight because they are solitary animals. After mating, return them to their cages. Then let the magic of pregnancy begin.

If your hamster has babies, NEVER touch them because if your smell goes on the baby the mom will eat it. It's best when you put something cozy and soft so the mother can make a nest for them. DO NOT EVER disturb them because it can cause a lot of stress. Put the hamsters in a warm room where it's dark and put a light cloth on top of the cage. Do not separate them; keep in the same cage.

In the first couple of weeks they will nurse but when there ready they will eat regular hamster food.

Yes they can up until 6 weeks depending on the gender females can stay with there mom for up too 4 months but males a two month period would be the max because there are always the chance of them getting there mom or sisters pregnant all the males should be seperated by the females by a month and all the babies should be seperated by 4 months hope thus helped i have alot of experiance as i have bred six litters of hamsters before

Assuming his eyeball is red, with mucus, Polysporin works quite well. You can purchase this over the counter at any drug store. You can purchase Polysporin in drops or ointment (looks like Vaseline). The ointment I believe works better.

It works well on Dogs and Humans to clear up conjunctivitis.

Give your vet a call though, and ask if you can try it on your Hamster.

If you decide to try the Polysporin, (after you talk to your vet), sooth his eye with a warm damp washcloth and keep the eye clean of mucus, before you apply ointment. Only apply ointment once a day.

YOUR HAMSTER MAY HAVE A RARE DISEASE THAT MAY NEED SURGERY (MINE DID)

What you need to do is go to a pet store and ask what they would say to do. Then call 1800PETMEDS and order an eye drop prescription. After that you need to call your vet for tips how to put the eye drops in.

Some hamster's eyes are naturally red but if you see anything abnormal about his eyes besides them being red you may want to take them to the vet. I wouldn't suggest using creams or topical's because the hamster can lick it off. If a hamster licks off creams it can be life-threatning. The best thing to do is probably to take the hamster to a vet or a local pet store and see what they say.

He may have a eye infection or other problem so he should be taken to a vet right away.

A Hamster Doesn't have to be old to eat cheese. Cheese is a food item to hamsters that must be given rarely.

Cheese is a Dairy Product That Hamster shouldn't have. But this can be given in Moderation but be careful when giving your Hamster Cheese. Give very little and a Hamster has to be 7 weeks old to have cheese.

The only cheese that you can give a hamster is chedder. Other cheeses like:

- Mozzarella

- Frulano

- Provolone

- Swiss Cheese

- Proccessed Chedder Cheese

- Cream Cheese

Are very dangerous to be given to your Hamster.

No! It contains deadly chemical xylitol. This is very toxic for hamsters and other animals as well. Bring to the vet ASAP!!

You can leave them in the same cage ONLY if they are dwarf hamsters. No other breed of hamster can you put the male and female together with the babies, the male will hurt, kill, or even eat the babies. The male dwarf hamster, however, can actually help raise the babies with the female.

if your hamster has diarrhea that means its getting the wet tail take to a doctor asap
