A Hamster Doesn't have to be old to eat cheese. Cheese is a food item to hamsters that must be given rarely.

Cheese is a Dairy Product That Hamster shouldn't have. But this can be given in Moderation but be careful when giving your Hamster Cheese. Give very little and a Hamster has to be 7 weeks old to have cheese.

The only cheese that you can give a hamster is chedder. Other cheeses like:

- Mozzarella

- Frulano

- Provolone

- Swiss Cheese

- Proccessed Chedder Cheese

- Cream Cheese

Are very dangerous to be given to your Hamster.

No! It contains deadly chemical xylitol. This is very toxic for hamsters and other animals as well. Bring to the vet ASAP!!

You can leave them in the same cage ONLY if they are dwarf hamsters. No other breed of hamster can you put the male and female together with the babies, the male will hurt, kill, or even eat the babies. The male dwarf hamster, however, can actually help raise the babies with the female.

Teddy bear hamsters live 3-5 years. Dwarf hamsters and Roborovski hamsters typically live 1-2 years with a maximum of 3 years.

if you touched it by hand then you will then have to take care of it yourself because the mom will reject it or eat it. to take care of it you will need a separate cage or something to keep it in. you will have to make hamster formula(i do not know how to make that.)keep it warm check on it every few hours. after you've made the formula you will have to put it into a small low wall bowl for the baby and refresh it everyday the baby will need your help to survive on its own until it is 2 weeks old. you will have to treat it like it is your own baby and make sure nothing is wrong with it.once the baby is then 2 weeks old. you will have to take the other babies from the mother and put them into a different cage from the mother the babies can go into the same cage for a while. but the cage will have to be big like a ferret cage. what you will have to do with the baby you have been taking care of is get a small box of the mothers bedding and rub the baby all in it and then put it into the new cage with the other babies. you have to do this so that the other

babies don't attack it. this will make the baby smell like it cam from the mothers cage so the babies will think that it had been in the mothers cage the whole time.

Water is most important. Keep him hydrated.

You can mix together sloppy porridge and honey.

Pediolyte (diluted) can be used as well.

Now, I'm not sure if I can specifically say this for hamsters only, but pretty much, based on experiences, I can tell that the reason why animals in general have fur, is to keep it warm.

Hamsters have bald patches on they're sides because they are scent glands. when you pick them up it catches in your scent,, then when someone picks them up, they let off your scent and see if it is the same person :)

get a water bottle then poke a hole in the cap then put a straw though the cap and there you go

Your hamster may be limping if it was climbing the cage and fell and then hurt itself. Or they could have an infection. Or they could be faking it which is VERY unlikely.

My hamster started limping when it got a sugerpuff stuck to its leg, my mum thought its leg had fallen off!

I had a hamster of my own when i was around 9. And, before she got sick, some signs i notices was that she had diarrhea and was VERY territorial and aggressive. She would bit and bear her teeth. There are probably lots more symptoms.....but these are just the signs of an upcoming sickness. Hope my info was a bit of a help. :)

yes they love it. they love carrots not baked but fresh! they also love radishes especially the roots of it :P they don't really like onions but it depends on your hamster. basically anything even crackers, crab, strawberries (can cause heart failure), nuts (unsalted) and a lot more :) do not feed them chips or they will DIE! other then that they'll live a long happy life with you :D

Yes. This keeps them very warm when they sleep. It's like sleeping with a blanket on top of you. It's very mundane. Never use straw, as it will irritate the hamster's eyes.

I HAVE a hamster named Quickster and so I know that hamsters either like you, or they don't. I know if you smell like food they will bite you because they think you are food! Try to be gentle with them. Feed them fruits and veggies. Clean their cage once a month at least. Give them new water and food at least once a week or every day.

Most likely. Some bone could have chipped off and this might cause a tiny amount of internal bleeding. That's why it looks so swelled up. Hamster, and other rodent's bones', are very delicate. Bring the hamster to the vet immediately!

I take my Russian Dwarf hamster to our local Exotic Veterinarian and he says that you should never give sweets or fruits or anything with sugar to any dwarf hamster as they are VERY predisposed to getting diabetes. So fruit is a bad idea and make sure to read the ingredients listing on all treats purchased for dwarf hamsters also as most of them add sugar to the treats. He also said that carrots shouldn't be given either since they have a naturally high sugar content.
