However, do not wake them up to handle them because they will then get grumpy, and they are then more prone to bite you.

Yes, I also think the old bucket trick works too. You put up a plank or something and a bucket baited with yummy food. Your hamster will walk up the ramp and fall into the bucket. Start looking in common hamster hiding places, like under droors, under beds, in bookcases, etc. My hamsters usually hide there. If you cannot find it there, look in unusual places like in blankets, in shoes, and in wrapping paper tubes. Or, you can leave its cage door poen with a trail of sunflower seeds leading to the cage and it will fall asleep in its cage by the next morning. Or, if you have more than one hammy, put a new nesting box in the cage and put the old one outside its cage with bedding. Or, you can buy harmless trap hotels for mice and bait it with treats.

I'm not sure but i believe dwarf hamsters but most dwarf hamsters are mean i prefer teddy bear hamsters (but they only last about 2 years) there really nice thought

never ever put syrian or dwarf hamsters cannot be put together because they fight but boys and girls do not (but they have babies obviously!) they fight and it can lead to death!!! :(so dont do it!!!

Edit: Actually, male and female hamsters will also fight in between mating and the male will eat the babies or stress out the mother so much that she will eat them.

Hamsters are solitary creatures by nature and so it is best to keep them apart once they aren't babies anymore.

You shold fill it's bowl up and put more food in once it's empty which takes about a week for me, the length of time may be differant depending on bowl size and what you are feeding it but standard hamster food is the best thing with some veg.

If they are Syrian (aka teddybear, golden and many other names) ABSOLUTELY YES!!! They will not fight until they are about 2 weeks old though if they have been growning up together. All Syrian hamsters do except for during their mating season. You have to keep them separate because they will fight to the death. They are very territorial. Dwarf species do not usually fight.

I herd that you should leave a boy hamster in the cage with the girl hamster for 2 week then take him out then she should have them in 30 days or less.
