I can't find any information on if he did go to school or not. I imagine he didn't because ...
1. He was black and many people were racist and segragation was very active.
2. He lived in a poor, mississippi sharecroppper family and had to work all day
In the early teen and twenties years, my step-father, Herbert Stabler, played steel guitar for the band. Hank was born and raised in Butler County, Alabama. Herb was born in Fort Deposit, Alabama in nearby Lowndes County (about 30 miles from Georgianna). Herb played with Hank, off and on, until he joined the Air Force during WWII. I have pictures on Herb on stage with Hank and the other band members.
During his Air Force years (he retired in 1965), Herb played in bands all over the country and Europe. He opened for Minnie Pearl, played onstage with George Jones, and many of the early country music pioneers.
Herb and his son Lazaar (Lance) settled in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where Lance completed high school at Choctawhatchee High School. Lance later joined the Navy and after a few years, became an art teacher and football coach in Camilla, Georgia, where he successfully helped to lead his teams to regional championships. Lance bears a striking resemblance to his cousin, Kenny Stabler of NFL fame. He and his wife Elaine still live in Georgia, where he is retired from the school system, and he now devotes his time to his art creations and piloting small aircraft. His two sons, Brian and Derik live close by.
I was the recipient of many "Hank, Sr." stories...many tales of brawls at honky-tonks, wild car rides down country roads, sobering Hank up enough to get him onstage, good and bad times all!
Hank Williams Sr. wrote more than 200 songs and you can find a list of his songs at www.lyricsfreak.com/h/hank+Williams/
how many albums has Hank Williams Jr recorded ?
Hank Marvin, the English guitarist, had four children, a son and a daughter from his first wife, and two sons from his second wife, although he sadly lost his eldest son Dean Marvin on the 8th January 1997.
Yes.she too is actually a country singer, the granddaughter of the late Hank williams sr.
Hank sr died in the back seat of his Cadillac in Oak Hill, WV. due to alcohol and sleeping pills.
Bocephus, but what exactly does it mean?Bocephus was the name of country comedian Rod Brasfield's ventriloquist dummy, and Hank Sr. started calling Hank Jr. that as a pet name for his beloved son
Hank Williams, Sr., died on January 1, 1953, on his way to a New Year's Day show in Canton, Ohio.
Heavily medicated, he had been drinking for days. A driver who had been hired the day before to pilot William's Cadillac found him slumped in the car's backseat.
The main reason Hank Williams, Sr., was famous is that he considered himself just a plain and down to earth country boy. He never looked down on anybody. When he became famous, he still let his fans know that, "he was just one of them." He never considered himself a "big star, or had to have that special star treatment" ~ unlike alot of the country music singers of today.
The songs he wrote and recorded gave the fans a special message. It was, "I write and sing the music for you, not because I'm something special. But, because I am just like you."

Charley Pride Sings Crystal Chandeliers !!
NO... This is just rumor that Charley Prides father was Hank Williams Sr.
Charley's father intended to name him Charl Frank Pride, but due to a clerical error on his birth certificate, his legal name was Charley Frank Pride. There were eight boys and three girls in the family.
