How many people can a Chinook helicopter carry?
Up to 46, depending on the configuration and whatever it is carrying for cargo.
The standard configuration, in a combat situation, is jump seats for 33 passengers. The crew consists of a Door Gunner on the port fwd window, the Crew Chief on the starboard side entry hatch, and the Flight Engineer who monitors the FE panel, does ramp checks, and calls in a load through the main hook hatch. The last two positions are the Pilot and the Co-Pilot. During my time in Vietnam we often carried 45 to 50 people on "bus run" missions. Seats were full and the remainder of the pax sat on the deck between the seats.
What is the use of dado panels in aircraft?
They are spring closed panels in the floor to side wall junction. They open at .5 psid in case of rapid decompression to minimize floor collapse and overall structural damage.
Who was the first person to around the world in an airplane?
Wiley Post made the first solo flight around the world in July 1933, taking 7 days 19 hours.
How do you control drag from increasing on helicopter?
Drag cannot be eliminated because drag always acts parallel to the relative wind. We can control by purchasing or using the right airfoil on the aircraft. An airfoil with smooth surface produces more lift than one with a rough surface. A rough surface creates turbulence, which reduced lft and increases drag.
How far can a Black Hawk helicoper fly on one tank of gas?
The standard range is is 445 nautical miles (504 statute mile) this can be doubled with auxiliary fuel tanks and is unlimited with air refueling. Th craft does not use gasoline.
Who has control of helicopter air traffic?

What part and purpose is a sponson on a helicopter?
The sponson is a projection from the lower fuselage. In some cases it looks like a stub wing and helps with lift. In other cases ( such as in the Sea KIng) it can be a float to stabilise the helicopter when it lands on water. Most sponsons are empty spaces but they can also be used as fuel tanks, baggage space or to hold weapons. - The sponsons on the Apache in this picture are used for lift, holding weapons racks and fuel tanks.

What is the point of helicopter?
It is a type of flying vehicle that helps people get around. It's advantage is being a small aircraft that can land in areas that a big aircraft can't land.
How do you reduce Aircraft noise?
The design of the engine intake and exhaust can do a lot to reduce noise levels.
My understanding of how helicopters work is that they (suck) the air from above the blades and (blow) it down wards to create lift. the rear blades counter the spin of the top blades of it wasn't for them the helicopter would just spin round in circles (fun but not recommended) :-)
