Is it okay to give your 1 month water for hiccups?
It's okay to drink water to cure the hicups but don't overdo it.
Hi, I can't answer your overall health question. but I can say that I did once have the hiccups for 48 hours straight, and I was a healthy 24 year old at the time. And have never had it since like that. And, I can offer you a cure that works every time (i found this out after) . Fill a largish glass of water. Put a napkin or a piece of kitchen roll completely over the top of the glass, and drink the water - sucking it through the kitchen roll. and presto! Good Luck!
Hiccups in Staffordshire bull terrier pups?
Hiccups are very common in all puppies and are actually quite normal. Puppies get hiccups when they eat and drink as they tend to ingest large quantities of air which then triggers hiccups. Common hiccuping is normal until dogs are about 8 months of age. There is also nothing that you can really do to stop hiccups in a puppy, other than having the puppy rest until the hiccups are gone.
What happen to your diaphragm that causes you hiccup?
The diaphragm causes hiccups, what happens is when you eat too fast or eat too much or stomach aches etc.The diaphragm gets annoyed sometimes so it BURSTS up and suddenly hits the voice box and HIC. What happens to the diaphragm is it'll stay a bit sore for a while it depends how the hiccups end so for eg: 5 mins later and the hiccups ended that is because the diaphragm has recovered from the irritation.

I kissed my wife on mouth (sucking in her breadth into my mouth) and holding her nose tight with my fingers for 30 seconds. She hicced up continuously for 30 minutes before. We tried drinking water, eating sugar, holding breadth by herself and scaring. None of those worked. As a desperate last attempt I tried this mouth on mouth kissing while closing her nose. It worked..................
I think this is the most romantic way to stop hiccup.

your diafram, located in the middle of your chest between your rib cage, you can find it with two fingers its a very fradigle bone, be carefull when pressing on it, when the lungs take out to much air the diafram beguins to vibrate and loudly making the noise of a hicc-up that's why pulling air into the lungs an holding it, relaxes the diafram stopping the vibration by adding the right amount of pressure. loss of oxygen in the lungs.
Can making out make hiccups go away?
This method is another way of holding your breath. The most popular method is drinking a full glass of water, instinctively forcing you to hold your breath.
Currently, there is no proven way to cure the hiccups.
Why do some people hiccup more than others?
Some people hiccup more frequently due to individual differences in their diaphragm sensitivity or the way their nervous system responds to triggers. Factors such as overeating, consuming carbonated beverages, or sudden changes in temperature can exacerbate hiccups in more susceptible individuals. Additionally, stress and excitement can also play a role, leading to an increased likelihood of hiccuping in some people compared to others.
What transport systems are hiccups related to?
Hiccups are primarily related to the respiratory and digestive transport systems. They occur when the diaphragm, a muscle involved in breathing, involuntarily contracts, leading to a sudden intake of air that is quickly stopped by the closure of the vocal cords. This reflex can be triggered by various factors, including overeating, drinking carbonated beverages, or experiencing sudden changes in temperature. Additionally, hiccups can sometimes be linked to irritations in the vagus or phrenic nerves, which are part of the nervous system.

There is a Dragon Training Program when all the boys of the Hairy Hoolagians tribe have to capture a dragon so they can be its master. Hiccup has to do it, but he didn't get a very good dragon. Only a very small dragon (breed- Common Dragon) which he named Toothless.
It is different from the film, because the story is the major difference. At the being of the film, Humans and Dragons are enemies but in the book, they are friends.

How can you stop hiccups in a 3-months old baby?
Massage just behind the base one of his/her earlobes. I think it's a pressure point for the diaphragm.
---
Almost all classic cures for hiccups involve eating or drinking something, and there are two reasons they may work. The first is that when swallowing, air is not entering the lungs, which raises the level of carbon dioxide and suppresses any spasms of the diaphragm. The second is that by giving the stomach something to do, it may stop any stimulus being applied to the vagus nerve. The reason scaring sometimes works is that the person involuntary inhales and then holds their breath for a second or two, again stopping the spasms.

There are many old wives tales that cover this category. They range from drinking salt water upside down to scaring someone to the point where they stop hiccuping. These may work for some, but after a while your body will naturally stop anyways. Hiccups are caused by the spasming of the abdominal muscles (your diaphragm) which, with each spasm, pulls air into your lungs suddenly causing the epiglottis to shut with the familiar sound of a hiccup.
Try holding your breath (not for too long, obviously) to prevent the diaphragm from "twitching". You'll find after a while that the hiccups will subside. Of course, they may return when you begin breathing normally again.
Cures for the Hiccups
1) One way you can rid of hiccups is by holding your breath for five seconds then drinking a glass of water without letting your breath out.
2) Another way you can get rid of hiccups is by drinking water upside down (eating watermelon upside down may also work).
3) You could get someone to scare you at some point, because of the scariness it will make the hiccups jump right out of you.
4) If you are not allergic to peanuts, eating peanut butter has been found effective in some cases. About half a teaspoon may work.
5) Have someone put their hands over your ears and push slightly. and then drink about half a glass of water.
6) Swallow a half-teaspoonful of sugar or 7 quick sips of warm water. Or try a spoonful of honey.
7) Hold your breath for 15 seconds (this may take a couple of tries).
8) Breathe in, filling your lungs, then *very slowly* exhale, taking as long as you can.
9) Take a small cup and fill it with water and then bend over and drink the water from the side if the cup opposite you.
10) Spoon Ritual
Get a cup and fill it at least half way with water. Take a spoon, butter knife or fork and put it in the water so the handle is sticking out. Put the spoon handle on your tongue and drink the water with the handle still on your tongue. Remember to hold the part of the spoon so that you don't choke, and make sure the cup is tall so you don't have to stick the spoon all the way down your throat.
11) Try to deliberately hiccup 3 times in 30 seconds. (This voluntary action may overpower the involuntary one.)
12) Drink some fizzy cola.
13) Take deep slow breaths, filling your lungs each time.
14) Pull on your tongue about 20 times.
15) Suck on a lemon.
16) Chew gum for a few minutes.
17) Take a sip of water and put your thumbs in your ears, and block your nose, then swallow the water.
18) To distract yourself, put your right pointer finger and your right middle finger in the middle of your right eyebrow. Do the same with the left side.
19) I kissed my wife (mouth on mouth) for 30 seconds, closing her nose with my fingers and sucking her air into my mouth. (Water, sugar, distraction did not work for us and she had hiccups for 30 minutes continuously.) This kissing worked.
20) Think of something besides your hiccups, and your not concentrating on them may be all it takes to get them to stop.
21) Make your hand into a fist, exhale, and firmly press your fist into your tummy just below your rib cage. Then breathe normally for one minute. Do not remove your fist for at least three breaths. Hiccups can happen when the diaphragm becomes cramped. The fist under your rib cage makes it relax actually, and it does not hurt. Just find the spot where your rib cage is the highest (in the middle of your body) and press there.
22) Take a glass of water and drink 14 (or how ever many you can do) gulps of the water without breathing. Once you are finished do not talk. Relax for several minutes taking in deep, slow breaths.
