Tarek El Moussa has never publicly stated his religion or made any allusions to his religion on the show. The last name El Moussa can be both a Muslim and Christian last name from throughout the Arab World, so that does not give any clear message. It is my view that he is Christian since his sister's name is Angelique, which is not a common Muslim given name, but this is just conjecture. Also, nearly two-thirds of Arab-Americans are Christian, especially once you get out of Michigan. Update: His wife, Christina, wore a large cross necklace toward the beginning of episode 202, while they were entering the garage of the home which they were considering buying. Also, during the Christmas season 2015, HGTV featured the couple and their daughter, Taylor, in ads in which they were posed in front of a beautiful Christmas tree. If he was born Muslim, it's highly doubtful he still is, IMO.
I don't know, but I wish that HGTV would be more open about what has happened to it. Kim is a nice person and talented, original designer who won the Design Star because the majority of viewers voted for her. Unfortunately, since that time I have noticed that some people are outspoken in their animosity toward her, which may have affected the HGTV authorities. If certain people do not like Kim, they should simply not watch her show. However, it is unfair to her many fans to deny us the right to see her or even to learn her fate.
Yes. She was married but has been divorced for about 2 years now.
She is divorced. Guess mean girls don't always get what they want. She was a high school bully!
In response to the "high school bully" notation, above . . . This fits with the way she is overly aggressive and competitive on The High Low Project on HGTV, in things she has briefly said to Chris for no apparent reason. In the newest episode I watched today, she even barked, "GOT IT?" at the homeowners in an overly authoritarian way. The male homeowner replied in a disheartened way, "Got it." You could just feel it, how she spoke in a mean tone and how he answered in an affected tone, a bit bummed.
Most of the time it is done through open casting calls. Check the HGTV website every now and then because like most networks, they will post casting calls or if you want to be featured on a particular show, you can send them an email or letter, (they'll tell how you can contact them), and they'll take it from there. If it's surprise which some people surprise there friends or family that there on TV so just stay calm cause there professional!
Lisa LaPorta left HGTV in 2016 after 12 years. She had been the host of shows such as Designed to Sell and My First Place. The reason for her departure was attributed to a dispute in her contract negotiations. LaPorta wanted to pursue other projects, so she left HGTV to pursue other opportunities.
LaPorta's decision to leave HGTV was driven by several factors:
By leaving HGTV, LaPorta was able to focus on other projects and further her career. She has since gone on to become a successful lifestyle and entertaining expert, appearing on shows like The Rachael Ray Show and Hallmark's Home & Family.

Tarek and Christina met at a real estate office. "We started our relationship working together," Christina said. Was it love at first sale? The couple got married in 2009 and have stayed together ever since.
Tarek and Christina currently have two children: a daughter, Taylor Rees (5), and a son Brayden James (8 months). The couple isn't finished. A baby boy is due in August.
We love watching the show, but it was an unexpected hit. Tarek never thought that he would be on TV. He calls the experience of seeing himself on TV "nerve racking." We can only imagine.
The network was unsure whether viewers would enjoy a show about flipping foreclosed and financially distressed homes. HGTV premiered "Flip or Flop" at 11 p.m., which is not exactly a prime time slot. Of course, whatever misgiving the network had proved to be unfounded.
Tarek sent HGTV a demo tape that he made with a borrowed camera from his friend. Soon, he was signing a contract with Pie Town Productions to fix and flip 13 houses in 13 episodes. The rest is cable television history.
The 2008 recession hit Tarek and Christina hard. The real estate market was in bad shape. Before their big break, the couple had traded their $6,000/month mortgage for a $700/month rental.
Ryan Read, a registered nurse, was watching a marathon day of season one earlier when she noticed a lump on Tarek's neck. Read sent an email to the production company advising Tarek to get it checked out. Tarek has since met Nurse Ryan, and thanked her profusely for spotting his condition and alerting him.
In 2006 and 2007, Tarek and Christina "lost it all," said Tarek. Since their big break with "Flip or Flop" on HGTV, the family's fortunes have dramatically turned around. They own a beautiful home in Yorba Linda and make $10,000 per episode.
When Tarek and Christina aren't on television, they run their own real estate agency in Orange County, California. And they do much more than just house flipping. Their El Moussa Group will consult on remodeling homes that are not for sale as well.
Want to get started in the real estate game like Tarek and Christina? They have a seminar for that. The training covers devloping a business concept, learning the secrets to finding deals in neighborhoods near you, and learning how to make deals without using any of your own money.
It seems that this real estate power couple can't get enough of working out. They took out two bedrooms in their Yorba Linda home and added a home gym. As busy as they are, they have to get that NordicTrack time in whenever they can.
The couple's escalade was stolen outside of a Long Beach, California house in 2013. Fortunately, the car was quickly recovered. The couple eventually sold the car to one of their employees.
The El Moussas are a hot HGTV property. The couple has appeared as guest judges on Jonathan and Drew Scott's "Brother vs. Brother." What impromptu HGTV appearances are in store for them this year?

Dear Mike, My husband and I purchased a town home in Beecher Illinois. It was our dream to purchase a home we did not have to do anything to but make it our own. After we moved in my husband hurt himself at work. He has had three surgeries on his arm and eleven weeks ago had open heart triple bi-pass surgery. My husband lost his job due to his shoulder injury and has not worked at his grocery store job bagging grocery ever since his open heart surgery. We have dreams of building a screened in room off of our deck, we need to tie into the roof in order to do this and for now due to finances this dream may be permanently on hold. But it seems we have some other problems were unable to tackle, and the builder was going to attend to and never has. For the last two years, we have been trying to get him to repair our outside walls because of moisture and our slanted floors throughout our main floor. I don't have the know how or strength let alone help to tackle the jobs myself. PLEASE HELP MAKE IT RIGHT. Judy Jones 708-231-8257

The Property Brothers show has been filmed in Toronto, Austin, Vancouver, Atlanta, New York, and Nashville. The "Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch" special was filmed in Calgary, Canada, and the renovation of their personal home was filmed in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA).
You may be thinking of Jane Lockhart from Get Color. They do resemble each other but I don't think they're related.
