Do people of France eat horse meat?

i have experience with horse meat to Belgium one fact that i learnt

young horse meat they do not want

every thing is opposite to beef or lamb

horse meat is more tender the older the beast this means the best horse meat you could possibly acquire would be when the horse was about to drop dead from old age,

one thing people should be aware of, if horses are left with no intervention from predators, all will die a very agonising and painful death as horses spend probably 99% of there life standing and as they get older suffer from all sorts of muscle and bone complaints

Why did the horse shoer recommend adding saltpetre to a horses food for his founder?

Founder is an infection of the Frog. (The soft area on the bottom of the horses hoof.)

He recommended it so the infection could heal faster and the horse would be in better condition. (You might also want to issue a vet to come and check it out as well.)

Sweeney_Todd_Fan

Founder is actually another name for laminitis, which can be a severe condition in which the inside of the hoof becomes inflamed, the attachment between the bone and the interior hoof wall is weakened, and the bone can rotate and push through the sole.

An infection of the frog is called thrush. It causes a stinky black foul rot of the frog.

Founder(laminitis) can be caused by a diet too high in carbohydrates /sugars, and Saltpetre may possibly have a beneficial effect on the blood, assisting recovery, but only if the sugars and carbs are removed from the diet.

Is inbreeding bad for horses?

Generally speaking it is better to not inbreed however it is done all the time.

In commercial farms chickens are kept in flocks of thousands thereby reducing the chance of inbreeding. As long as it is not constantly being bred back to the same bloodlines, inbreeding is fine in small amounts. It is not recommended to breed brother/ sister or breeding mother/son or father/daughter. The results are the same as in a COI of 25%, which is too high.

Inbreeding depression can be an issue in chicken inbreeding, and egg production may be stunted if the COI passes a desired mark, such a 6.25%. Inbreeding Depression may also cause Chickens to pluck their own feathers, resulting in a dang ugly chicken.

So, if you are careful and the chicken is bred to distantly related or not related chickens, you should be fine.

Have a Good Day!

It is mainly due to inertia of motion (Newton's first law of motion). When the horse is in motion then rider also remains in motion along with the horse. But when the horse suddenly stops, the lower part of the rider comes in the rest along with the horse but his upper part remains in the motion. This is why, he falls forward.

How many horses are to a group in the wild?

In the US a herd of wild horses is referred to as a "band". Each band can number from just a few head to up to around a dozen. Sometimes in a large range, the total in all of the bands can be around 200 mustangs. The bands include mares, foals, and stallions (one stud heads each band and harem, but other submissive or older stallions may also be in the band). Younger adolescent stallions are loosely associated with an individual band, but stay at the fringes of the larger bands until they are mature and ready to challenge a "ruling" stud.

Fable stories of the horse and the carabao?

kabayo at kalabaw.

magtutulungan.
