What are the types of renewable energy?
Wind energy, hydropower , solar energy biomass, biofuel, geothermal energy
How much does it cost to send supplies to the moon?
The cost to send supplies to the moon can vary significantly depending on the weight of the supplies, the chosen method of transport (e.g., rockets or spacecraft), and the complexity of the mission. Estimates range from tens of millions to billions of dollars for a single mission.
What are the Bad points about hydroelectricity?
Hydroelectricity is bad points: -Environment loss Salmon and trout spawning routs have been destroyed thanks to dams, scientists came up with a not so affective if solving it by creating salmon ladders that run beside the dams. - Relocation of homes -Greenhouse gas affect
What could hydroelectricity be used for?
everything that uses electricity. hydroelectricity is the same thing as fossilfuel electricity...its just made differently
3 reasons why one household might use more electricity than another?
Insulation in homes varies in quality
Appliances draw different amounts of power, and not all appliances are electric--a home with a gas water heater, range, heating system and clothes dryer needs less electricity than one whose appliances are all electric
Different lifestyles...some homes don't have multiple televisions, computers, loud stereos...
Advantages of Ac to DC converter?
some things requre a dc (direct current) rather than an ac (alternating current)
Is Hydroelectri Energy expensive?
Probally because you would have to find the materials and repair it if it breaks.
What is hydro-electric energy?
Hydro-electric energy is the energy captured from the movement of water. Usually a dam is built which stores the water behind it. Water is released through the dam turning turbines which generate electricity.
How much electricity does a water wheel produce?
The amount of electricity produced by a water wheel depends on factors such as the size of the wheel, the flow rate of the water, and the design of the turbine. On average, a small water wheel can generate enough electricity to power a few homes, while larger water wheels can generate enough to power entire communities.
What can water wheels be used for?
It converts the energy of the flow of water into something more useful. The water wheel can turn a wheel which grinds corn, grain, etc. More modern uses are to converting the energy into electricity.
Please give me a trust point.
There are two different ways to gather solar energy. One is by direct thermal means-the sun's heat is used to heat a liquid heat transfer medium in glass tubes, usually the sun's rays are focussed on the tubes using parabolic mirrors. This type of installation has been sited in the Mojave desert Cal, and in Nevada.
The other method is to use photovoltaic cells where electricity is produced directly by exposure to the sun's rays.
How much does hydro power cost per kilowatt hour?
The Maintenance for the equipment and people to operate it. Hydroelectricity is generated at damns. essentially it is almost free because the water does all the work, but it does not create a lot of electricity
Is Hydro Power A Renewable Resource Of Energy?
Yes hydro power is a renewable resource. Renewable means it will still be there tomorrow, even if we have used as much of it as we can today. So long as the rain keeps falling and rivers keep running, then hydro-electricity will be renewable.
Hydro power means generating electricity from the moving power of water. This is done by building dams with turbines inside them, or by putting turbines into rivers, like the old water mills.
There are also barrage dams across estuaries and inlets which capture tidal water and use that. Machines that capture the movement of ocean waves are also part of the hydro electrical system.
not compleetly in your text books it may say that hydro electricity is non renewable but heres a theory when you use hydroelectricity you are using water thus the only residue that is left is water vapor when water vapor evaporates it forms clouds then it rains into our lakes and oceans thus more water is then more water is at our disposal* *THE WATER CYCLE
yes because it gives us power yes baby why do u guys care
Hydro power (the water behind dams) is renewable so long as the rain continues to fall in the dam's catchment area.
== == Hydro power is power generated by using the force of weight or motion of water.
Hydroelectricity is a renewable energy source that uses the power of flowing water to spin water turbines which then generates electricity.
Hydro electricity is the result of using water power to turn the generators to produce electricity. It is the most green method after the set up costs.
Electricity run by water power. (A waterfall turns a turbine, and the turbine turns a coil in a generator, creating electricity.

it is water made electricity
Hydro power is energy from water source such as ocean ,rivers and water falls.hydro power is a renewable source.
power from the source of water
hydro means water , i.e. electricity produce from water is called hydro electric
It is electricity generated by using water, the principle is similar to that of a miller's waterwheel.
Whereas the miller used the rotation the shaft to turn his mill stones in this application it drives a generator that produces the electricity.
Modern hydro power stations use turbines to drive the generators, situated in rivers, dams and tidal waters which have a rapid rises and ebb of the tide
Hydroelectricity is electricity made from moving water. In a river dam you may spot generators. The water spins the propeller in the generator and generates hydroelectricity.
Hydropower: is the production of electricity by harnessing the power of flowing water, usually through the use of a waterwheel.
This is the kinetic energy of water turning turbines to produce electricity.

Hydro electricity is water made into power
It is Electricity generated by the movement of water. Examples would be waterfalls strong rivers, and tides. The water turns a turbine which generates the electric power.
On Earth, water is can't be created or destroyed, but is always moves around. Water evaporates from the oceans and other freshwater such as rivers and lakes, and is stored by the environment. Under certain weather setting water vapour in air condenses to form clouds, and eventually precipitates out as rain, snow, sleet and hail. This precipitation collects into streams and rivers, and flows back to the sea. This is known as the water cycle. All this movement provides an enormous opportunity to create useful energy which is call hydroelectric power On Earth, water is can't be created or destroyed, but is always moves around. power that is produced by water...ex. water turbine, water cycles through a turbine spinning a propeller that turns a crank on a generator that transfers energy to a storage chamber.
electrical power generated by the flow (or fall) of water.
What does inexhaustible fuel source mean?
it means to never get tired for ant creature and for a non living thing it means it can be used for a long time and never dies(can be renewed).
It's power that comes from a stream of water spinning a turbine driving a generator producing electricity.
What is the difference between small hydro power and large hydro power?
Large hydro power would be a dam in a river, storing water and generating electricity for agricultural, industrial and domestic use.
Small hydro power systems could be as small as a turbine in a stream providing electricity to a single farm.
It is hydrogen and oxygen gases mixed. There are numerous fuel saving items being sold that split water(H20) into hho through electrolysis. This is allegedly supposed to improve fuel mileage and power. From my understanding of chemistry it takes more energy to break water apart into h h and o then you get by recombining by burning.
How is a hydro electric power station built?
A dam is built, normally across a river but sometimes across a lake or even the sea, in a suitable place. Anyway, once the dam is built, water cannot pass through so it builds up on one side - so that you have a dam with a high water level on one side and no water on the other. There are passages built into the bottom of the dam which contain turbines, and once the water level reaches a sufficient height these passages are opened and water can pass through from the 'high level' side to the 'no water' side (obviously). As the water goes through the passages it spins the turbines which in turn spin electrical generators, creating electricity.
Is hydro power widely accepted?
As far as I know yes, but if you had to move your house because of a dam being built you might not like it
Why doesn't the US use hydroelectricity as a primary energy source?
Mainly lack of suitable sites. Hydro power forms about 7 percent of US electricity consumption so it's important, but you need a site where you can build a dam to form a reservoir, and you need enough rainfall of course to keep the reservoir topped up.
What programs of reduce reuse recycle are supporting hydroelectricity?
There are many programs that are trying to use recycling to better the environment. You can visit the EPA's website to find out more information.
