A Good way to get off of Xanax Bars is to Slowly decrease the amount that you take every 2 weeks so you wont suffer from any withdrawals.

I was taking 1mg, Four times a day for 5 Years = 4mg per day

Here is the method that worked for me:

1mg, Three times a day for 2 weeks = 3mg per day

1mg, Two times a day for 2 weeks = 2mg per day

0.5mg, Three times a day for 2 weeks = 1.5mg per day

0.5mg, Two times a day for 2 weeks = 1mg per day

NOTE: At this point, I used 0.5mg Xanax Tablets so I could break them in half to make 0.25mg pieces.

0.25mg, Three times a day for 2 weeks = 0.75mg per day

0.25mg, Two times a day for 2 weeks = 0.5mg per day

0.25mg, Once per day for 2 or 3 weeks = 0.25mg per day

At this point, I was able to stop without having any withdrawals.

I would encourage you to wean off slowly, especially with the xanax because depending on the length of time you have used it and the amount used, quitting the xanax cold turkey can cause severe withdrawel and seizures. You can stop the hydrocodone ( lortab ) cold turkey but to minimize discomfort and increase your chances of success I would recommend tapering off slowly. In other words just take a little less everyday until you are completley free of the medication. Ofcourse the best idea would be to be upfront with your doctor and see if he woukd be willing to wean you off.

I doubt the Vicodin caused the tongue blisters but it could have triggered the virus that is the cause of tongue blisters (canker sores on the tongue). They can be treated at the dentist office or a general practitioner's office. There is a solution that will help with the pain and treatment of the sores. If you have a dentist just go there and they will probably see you without an appointment since it only takes a few minutes to give you the solution.

If you got a contact high, it will most likely show up. It will show up faint, but it will probably show up. Drink lots of water. That might help.

If you take Lortab without tylenal then Tylenol toxicity is not a concern.

if your detox process does not include any medications such as methadone or suboxone or another opiate you should be safe, although I don't necessarily see the point in detoxing from one opiate, only to start using another.

Lortab is a 2 ingredient product, 5mg hydrocodone + 500mg acetaminophen (Tylenol) versus 10mg hydrocodone with 500mg acetaminophen. So taking 2 of the 5mg Lortabs you get 1000mg of Tylenol versus just 500mg when you take a Lortab 10.

I doubt it. There haven't been any case studies that I could find that linked hydrocodone/acetaminophen(APAP), or Vicodin, to kidney failure. It is most likely due to something else like kidney stones or a UTI. One thing you might want to do if you're on the Vicodin ES tablets (that is 7.5mg hydrocodone/750mg APAP) four times a day is get a liver test done since long term APAP use can cause liver issues, especially if you drink. While you're at it, it would be a good idea to have your kidneys checked out as well. To answer your question though the Vicodin should not be causing kidney problems.
