Put your phone into airplane mode. Some phones have a power save setting that allows them to turn off the radio that picks up signal. People will call your phone and it will go straight to voice mail like if it were off. Saves battery as well.

The reason there is a Bluetooth but not a Redtooth is because after much deliberation, endless memos, and mindlessly boring meetings, the decision was made to find out whether the name Bluetooth was available for use on the type of product to be marketed. Available it was, and so Bluetooth came to be.

They could've come up with Redtooth, or Dingy Dentures, or Unidentified Body Part, and maybe they did, but Bluetooth won the day.

It most likely is compatible, but there is a highly detailed process in removing the battery from iPhones, which involves removing the entire back panel on the 3G, and the lower black back panel on the 1st Gen. This could be costly if you choose this method, and to my knowledge, Apple will not cover your iPhone at all if you have installed the ZiPhone Software. The iPhone does not currently support using wi-fi or AT&T's EDGE network (the two connection types used by the iPhone) as portals for connecting a computer to the internet. In other words, while you can access the web using the web browser built in to the iPhone, you cannot currently set the iPhone for use as a modem by a computer.

yes your iphone will charge in an ihome. when you plug it in you will get a warning asking if you want to turn on airplane mode but dont cause you wont be able to receive calls or texts. you wont be able to play music from your iphone through the ihome but it will charge the iphone.

cellular data- if this is on your phone will search for wifi when your not connected to one therefore using your data. just shut it off and you will save yourself a lot of data. but if you forget thst you shut your cellular data off and go into safari a box will pop up and ask you if you would like to turn cellular data on. (kind of like when you put your phone on airplane mode and go to send a text or make a phone call)

When you say transfer what do you mean ? As in transferring contacts ? If so you should always have your phone company Sprint , T-Mobile , Verizon etc to transfer all your contacts with there wonderful machine . Also if you don't really want to go to your phone company I believe a good place is Radio Shack !

You can access 3G data if you are in an area where there is a tower that supports 3G. All about the coverage. you can call and ask your cell phone provider if you get 3G coverage. Often it will even be displayed on your phone as 3G or HSPA.
