By designer are you asking what Model it is? If so, the Model can be determined by the serial number, which is located on the barrel flats and the forend. You have to take the barrel off the receiver to see them.

They are worth between $250-$450 depending on the condition. They are pretty good shotguns, and I have found them to be quite reliable field guns, although quite heavy. That being said they are a good deal for the person wanting 10 Gauge SxS at a reasonable price.

The double is the last model NID (New Ithaca Double) mfg by Ithaca. This one was mfg in 1927. Depending on condition and gauge you may have a very desirable shotgun.

It sounds to me like a model 49 (it should say on the barrel end closest to the trigger) Ithaca Gun Co. .22 saddle rifle as stated already. Production of these guns started in 1961 and ended in the late 60's or late 70's (I've heard 1979 from one source). As far as monetary value goes, they are not extremely valuable. In excellent condition they can sell for $150-$200 to the right buyer. Unfortunately, most people won't pay that much for it. Most buyers will buy this gun for nostalgic reasons for the fact that many of these guns were used by young boys growing up.

It is a Model 49 given that the serial number begins with 49 and also indicates it was one of the later rifles made in the 70's. Early models do not begin with 49. They were mfg by Ithaca from 1962 thru 78 according to the catalogs I have. I've seen them as high as $250 recently at shows in VG condition. Ithaca also made a .22 Mag version which is marked on the barrel and they also put a white spacer between the stock and butt plate. But make sure the barrel is marked .22 Magnum to be certain.

Based on the limited info provided and the fact I can not see/handle I would estimate it to be $250 - $400 range. You may want to take it to a gunsmith to get a better evaluation of the value.

Parker double barrel serial #131072 what would the grade be and date made.I can say that with the serial number provided,your Parker shotgun was made in the year 1904.As to the grade,that would be impossible to say without a detailed description of the shotgun in question.you may find that there is much info available to you thru the internet about parker shotguns that will assist you in deciding which grade of Parker shotgun you have.

if you sell it to a criminal you can get $500 or more ,but I bought mine from an old women whose husband died for $50 .If I wanted to sell it I would expect to get $250 to $300 for it

Your Ithaca Model 72 Deluxe was made between 1974 and 1976. In perfect condition (new, in box, never fired) it is estimated at about $450. The value drops off rapidly for a used in very good to excellent condition of $250 to used in fair condition of $145. Actual price depends on where and when it is sold.
