Both Crosman and Daisy made air rifles for Sears under the JC Higgins brand name. Your model 126.19330 was made by Crosman and is a Crosman model 166 HAHN Super BB repeater made between 1958-71. Crosman no longer offers parts for this rifle BUT they do offer a service to locate repair shops that rebuild older Crosman airguns.

I'm not an expert but the research I've done shows that they are fairly utilitarian. They were mass produced and branded under many names the value is generally around $100-200.

I have a noble model 20-A and at its day it was it was good a gun with a cheap price like most of their firearms and i still have it to this day. Noble started in the 40's and made nice guns but in 1971 they took a turn for the worst and closed down. I am now fixxing my noble up to shoot but it has not fired in years.

The Model 42 was made for Sears by Marlin (it is a Marlin model 80) Very nice hunting quality rifles. While the store brand guns are generally 10-20% less than the originals, due to lesser finishes, hardwood instead of walnut, etc, your rifle is probably in the $150 range.

I received a J C Higgins Ranger model 853.990 as a gift in 1960. I don't know if they were around before that or not.

Sears used Model 36 for two different .22 rifles. The BOLT ACTION is a Marlin Model 80, the SEMIAUTO is a High Standard Model 34. Value of any firearm is dependent on condition. The "store brand" firearms such as JC Higgins, Revelation, Westerfield, etc, frequently were a slightly lower grade than the original (Hardwood stocks instead of walnut, plainer finish, etc) and usually command 10-25% less. However, the additional matching accessories should cancel that. In good to excellent condition, either rifle would sell at retail for $100-$180.

Sometimes a round will misfeed when the bolt is short-cycled, ending up between the stock and receiver and causing the action to stick. The procedure to remove this errant round can be easily done in the field. Remove the bolt securing the stock to the receiver. Often the culprit round will fall out from under the action at this point. While you're in there, wipe the action down with your favorite cleaner until clean and dry, then a light film of oil.

The Model 31 was sold by Sears from approximately 1954 until around 1959. I bought one new in 1955. They were made by High Standard Corp. The appearance was pretty much Sears own design, but I believe the mechanical operation was similar to that of a High Standard .22 caliber rifle of the time.

Savage Arms and J Stevens made the J. C. Higgins sears robuck and company shotgun. If you look on on the right side of it should say Stevens model (whatever model # it has here) like mine says (Stevens model 311A)
