What is the cylinder spring setting for a JC Higgins 12 Gauge Model 583.66?

Spanner nut to be 1.275" below magazine tube cap with 26" barrel, cutt's type poly-choke.

Test fire and adjust as neccy.

1. lower, "increased dimension" equals more gas to cycle (harder hit in receiver, not good).

2. Higher, "decreased dimension" equals less gas to operate action and will result in short stroking.

Gas system components MUST be clean and DRY, NO LUBE of any kind .

Very nice shotgun. My favorite, even over an 1100 Remington.

Is there a picture in a 1970s sears or jc penney catalog of a male underwear model with the end of his penis showing?

Yes, there was. It was the JC Penney catalog, and almost all 8 to12-year olds I knew had a copy of it! Not sure what year it was, but I'm guessing around 1974 to 1976.

Who made a Sears Roebuck rifle?

What is the value of JC Higgins 20-12 gauge pump shotgun?

a J.C. Higgins Model 20 12 Gauge pump shotgun.. it would probably be worth $100 - $200 in very good condition.. i bought a 1962 model 20 12 gauge from a friend of the family who is a gunsmith for $300. it was his personal shotgun that he had for over 40 years, bought new, was made in America before sears started outsourcing their labor, and was in PRISTINE CONDITION..

I'm not saying yours is worth $300, i only paid that because i knew who owned it, i knew that it was in perfect shape, both working condition and there was no scratch or wear spots on the entire thing. i only forked that much out after shooting my dads Remington 870 and comparing the Higgins to it.. with the muzzle break and separated choke, there is so much less recoil on the Higgins compared to the 870.. when you're competitively shooting (and hunting, too) the less recoil there is means you can set up your second shot much faster and more accurately.

the value of your shotgun is the value of its operational condition, with the aesthetics playing a very small part.

J.C. Higgins Model 33 a 22 calibar pump rifle and you were wonder who made it and when was this model made?

The amassed opinion from the Internet is that the 33 'Huntmaster' a pump 22 cal rifle was one of the few actually made by JC Higgins, one in exceptional shape would fetch around 150 dollars, IMO the date of manufacture would be late 40's early 50's.

Since there is no way to actually pin down the date or actually who manufactured it, the firearm is interesting in the sense that it looks like a Remington, but it has elements of Hi Standard engineering.
