The dome assembly is held on by four clips, just take a firm grip and pull down. This will get it ready to pull out. There are two black tabs on the side facing the rear, you will need to pull the assembly towards the front windshield. Disconnect the three wires and its down.
NOTE: To disconnect the two outer light wires, i had to unscrew the center switch assembly.
It could be in the engine computer... but your Jaguar Dealer would need to access it, IF his computer has any forensic ability. I know that Police accident investigators can go into the computer and access information about the way the vehicle was being driven, speed and so on, immediately before an accident... but I think the computer needs to be removed from the vehicle and it's memory tapped using special forensic tools.
Speed freaks beware!
between power steering pump and water pump it sits in the middle of 4 pulleys water punp, power steering, ac compressor, and crankshaft
Impossible to say without knowing the year. Read your owners manual or call the nearest Jaguar dealer.
s?
It won't go out unless you figure out whats causing it to come on. Most common is a faulty O2 sensor but could be a number of other components. Take it to Autozone or one of the common auto parts stores and have them scan it for the generic fault codes.
remove left front plastic (driverside) wheelwell cover
hi not a expert but my father in-law just bought a s-type 3.0 auto and it
looks like the filling point for the water is just above the front grille should something like "caution hot" be careful undo when cold if engine is hot it will spray you with boiling hot water hope this helps
This sounds like a problem that is better left to the Jaguar dealer to resolve. The security system and interfaces are extreamly complicated.
AnswerJust happened to my 2001 Jaguar S Type. Problem was the entire electrical system had become wet. Needed a new wire harness, fuse box, etc. etc. etc. The part where the car won't shut off when the key was removed all I had to do is step on the brake and the car shut down. Not to scare anyone, but it may be a combination of more than one concurrent problem as well:
1) I had a situation when the flooded trunk caused alarm activation, running out of battery and then preventing the start.
2) I had a problem the car forced into a Failsoft mode mode, - but this one was caused by a faulty rear control unit ("computer") in the trunk (located behind a side panel on the gas cap side) - this intermittent failure was forcing the car in the FailSoft mode as well.
Remove the left front wheel and remove the securing nuts to the wheel arch(plastic wheel well liner) pull back from the rear and you will see the fuel filter under it.
This car has the coil-on-plug configuration meaning that each spark plug has its distinct coil. Looking at the engine from the front you will notice the V8 arrangement with two valve covers, one on each side of the cylinder head. On the valve cover is another cover plate which is secured by (6) 7mm screws. Remove those to access the bank of coils/plugs. The coils are secured to the engine with 7mm screws. Remove them. Also unfasten the coils from the wiring harness and gently twist the coils off the plug. Remove the plugs with a 5/8" deep socket and replace. Reassembly is the reverse. When reinstalling coils, make sure you coat the bottoms with dielectric grease to ease removal the next time. Also smear a light coat of no-seize compound on the plug threads to make them easier to remove as well.
If water comes out after the car is totally warmed up, it has a blown head gasket. Most cars spit water on start up due to condensation in the exhaust after you shut the motor off and it sits and cools.
Count flashes, for example three flashes and tree second pause and then three flashes and six seconds pause and starts again (it shows 5 times the fault code) indicates fault code 33 which means driver's side pretensioner self-test fault.
SIP Trunk is a Voice over Internet Protocol and streaming media service based on the Session Initiation Protocol. Most software applications provide voice, video, and other streaming media applications.
The words "Boot Open" means the trunk lid is open.

how do you check the transmission fluid in a 2003 S type Jaquar?
