It depends, If you are taking a 5 or 10 panel drug test then no it wont BUT if your drug test get sent in to a lab then yes they will be able to tell the difference between the two and they will call your probation officer if your on probation and you'll get a violation.

if you are careful. definatly consult a doctor about that though. heath ledger died recently because he mixed a pain killer, an antidepressant, and an antianxiety agent, (by doctors orders [a stupid doctor at that]) in theraputic doses, not even as a recreational drug to get high. klonopin is an antianxiety agent and oxycodone is a pain killer so that's 2/3.

On April 15, 2010, I lost my wonderful, intelligent and forever loving son. He was only 28 years old. He has been dealing with neck, head and shoulder pain for many years and after many other narcotics were tried and he got addicted to them, he went through the Narcotics Anonymous program and got off all the medications, except an anti-inflammatory, dicloflenac. He was in pain daily but no tests could identify what the problem was. MRI's, CAT's, bloodwork-ups, rheumatologist, neurologist, bone specialists, physical therapy could not find the cause of his headaches and pain which turned his ears, neck and shoulders from a light red to maroon coloring. His pain was so unbeaarable and he went to the doctor (of which he had signed for them to NOT prescribe ANY medications without going through me (his mom) first) and they prescribed clonazepam to him without my knowledge.

On April 10th, 2010 he got 0xycontin from another NA person and when my son was not able to be woke up within an hour of taking this combo, the people with him did not call 911 for 10 hours. By then my son was not breathing and was blue in color, they said. A police officer and EMT's were able to bring him back but then he went into cardiac arrest - 3 times they did CPR on him. The lack of oxygen to his brain caused both sides of his brain to be damaged and he was in a coma. Machines were keeping his kidney's going and a respirator was keeping him breathing. The doctors told us on the first day he wouldn't survive and if he did, he would always be on a vent and 24/7 dialysis. They told us he would never come out of the coma. He would never open his eyes, hear, see, speak or breath on his own again. We refused to believe it and prayed and used positive energy and positive sound to try and bring him back to us.

On April 15, 2010, he died.

The hospital staff and dr's and the funeral home and the cemetery all told us that they are seeing this type of death A LOT! Not every few months, but nearly daily they are trying to save someone who has taken this combo and the hospital staff said they had NEVER SEEN ANYONE SURVIVE this!

Don't think that your dr has YOUR best interest at heart. They have other patients and they just want to get through the visit quickly and they do not care about you at all. Our dr had been his dr for 8 years and she knew his history and yet she prescribed clonazepam. She knew he had almost died a year earlier from Oxycontin. He didn't have clonazepam then and by the grace of God, he pulled through last year, only for her to give him the drug that would definitely kill him if he went out on the streets and got Oxycontin again.

My son was married with a 5 year old daughter and a 2 year old son.

He was such a large part of our family and although he was going to NA meetings (he had been to his last one just 2 days prior) he mixed the wrong drugs and died because of it.

THIS COMBINATION IS DEFINATELY A DEATH SENTENCE!

Hug your kids and tell them daily you love them. You don't know what they may be doing, especially when they are adults. If you suspect your child is doing drugs...GET THEM HELP IMMEDIATELY...DON'T TAKE "NO" FOR AN ANSWER. Have them Busted if you have to...at least in jail they are still alive!

Yes, you should be fine. However, please consider that Klonapin is highly addictive and habit forming. Are you taking these medications for a psychiatric disorder? Be careful,again. Not only with the Klonapin, but Seroquel and Lamictal will knock you out, and numb you out. No way to live life. These medications are meant to be taken for a short period of time, unless you are severely schizophrenic. If you do take them for a long period of time you may develop Tardive Dyskenesia. And it's chronic. Good luck...

No, Klonipin (Clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine- it has very different mechanism of action from an opiate.

To elaborate, Klonopin is prescribed for anxiety and/or sleep issues. It is meant for people who feel as though they cannot function in society because they either have social phobias or panic attacks in social situations. Klonopin helps that fear subside so these people can live a normal life without fear of panic attacks or not sleeping.

Opiates are strictly meant to relieve pain.

yes. providing you do not have any other co-morbidites and that the dosage of klonopin (clonazepam) is not too high to where it will cause severe respiratory depression. i'd say 0.25-2 mg is a safe range.

I've been taking 80mg of Prozac and 300mg of Wellbutrin daily for two months. Four days ago I added .5mg of Klonopin twice daily. Thus far, I haven't noticed any side effects at all. The Klonopin seems to have kicked in quickly and filled the gap on handling my anxiety (which is why it was prescribed).

My feeling is that stabilizing on a medication before adding others into the regimen helps you find your balance. Starting on more than one medication at a time can make it confusing in sorting out how your moods / stability are being affected, and what is actually working.

Nope! I just got prescribed both of them by my doctor yesterday.I dont think she would have me taking both if it was harmful! get a second opinion, or research a little on the FDA website, really talk to another doctor.

Ambien only comes in 5mg and 10mg, i believe this was a typo. unless you mean you are taking many ambien's at one time.

Yes. the ambien I take is 10 mg. Still cannot sleep. A klonopin would relax me. I do not want to call a doctor, I am really tired of trying to rest, with no help.

where will you get the meds if you don't see a doctor ? 4 mg of Klonopin is a LOT to start with. I took 5 ambien , .5 Klonopin & 300 Seroquel XR, it knocked me out for 12 hours.

As long as you keep them both at low dosages, you should be fine. Usually a low to medium dose of Benadryl is 25 to 50 mgs (even 75 mgs isn't that high). With Klonopin a "low dose" varies from person to person. Try not to go over 1 or 2 mgs of Klonopin if you're taking Benadryl with it. More importantly, don't make a habit of mixing the two in the first place.

Clonazepam or Klonopin is a benzodiazepine prescribed to combat anxiety for the most part. One of the really good things about benzos is that they don't fatally overdose easily, and the literature doesn't seem to show any recent, credible cases in which mortality was caused by an overdose.

This isn't to say that you should take these meds with inpugnity -- you surely shouldn't. And while overdoses rarely if ever result in death, they do result in other weird events such as short term coma.

Mixing alcohol with any "downer" like xanex or klonipin (however you spell it) can and will lead to liver failure and heart seizure. This means to much alcohol or to much klonipin taken together will cause your heart to stop and cause severe liver damage or failure. Most prescription medicine when taken with alcohol will cause the alcohol to be stagnate in more contrated toxic form in your system causing rapid liver damage. To much at once or on a regular basis will cause liver failure along with other problems. Even mixing the two once can cause fatal damage.

The first sign of toxicity is severe diarrhea and nausea, so it's harder to keep a lethal dose down. I wouldnt suggest it. Typically xanax is snorted or swallowed in pill form. The only smoking of xanax I know of is when people try to mix it with marijuana. Doesn't do much. Doesn't have much of an effect. If anything you just end up high from the weed and burning up your xanax.
