For Christians there is an Easter Saturday although it is not as dramatic as Sunday or Friday. Friday is when Jesus died on the cross. Saturday is when Jesus was placed in the tomb and Sunday is when Jesus resurrected and went back to Heaven.

Lent reflects the 40 days in which Jesus was in the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. It teaches them to show resistance to temptation.they believe that by eating less and giving up their favourite things, they could focus most of their time on god.

by doing this, they become more strong willed and resisst all temptation. some churches organise lunch for christains in order t help charitiies as they give up their lunch money to charity. this shows jesus's love they are potrying on earth.

Umm... the Roman Catholic Church does not engage in human sacrifice. The only sacrifice Catholics partake in is the sacrifice of Christ upon the cross which is represented to us in the unbloody sacrifice of the Mass. Mass is not said on Good Friday.

At my church, new attenders get a packet containing information on our church. They also get a Welcome Program of the Sundays message. Regular attenders receive a Welcome Program of the Sunday's message.

Catholics should never make exceptions for what they are sacrificing no matter the holiday. Giving something up for Lent is not like getting a boyscout badge, it is a serious commitment made to bring yourself closer to Christ and God.
