What is lifehouses everything skit?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The Everything skit is a skit originally put on at a Christian conference which used the song Everything by Lifehouse in the background. The skit portrays a girl with Jesus, who at the beginning are happy and together, but as the skit progresses, other things come between her and Jesus. First it is romance, then money, drugs/alcohol, beauty/bulimia, and finally Satan himself who gets her to cut herself then provides her with a gun to kill herself with. At the climax of the skit, as she prepares to kill herself, she throws the gun aside and starts a desperate attempt to get back to Jesus, but the things that got in the way are keeping her back. As she gets closer, Jesus helps to pull her back to himself, and then defeats the people/things that were preventing her from being close to him. At the end, the girl and Jesus are happily together again after he rescues her.
